The Race to Black Monday

CLASSIC JERRY - O/U on tenure? 2-years? It will be uphill, and I am not a believer. I guess we'll see.
Cowboys are hiring offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach, Jerrry Jones tells ESPN.“Brian Schottenheimer is known as a career assistant,” Jones said. “He ain’t Brian no more. He is now known as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.”

This was the Lions year to win. They are going to down half their coaching staff next year after Ben Johnson and Aaron Glen hire guys away to join their staffs.

Crazy Dan Campbell is going to have to start over from a coaching staff perspective.

I wonder if they will hire from within to fill the voids or look outside? I wonder if Slowek might get a loom as OC.

So, as it stands the Saints are the only job open. And it’s not exactly a desirable job. They have Carr for another couple years and a big cap hit to get rid of him. And don’t have a really high pick to get another QB.

Yeah the Saints have problems.

If it was my team though I'd try to hire Flores from the Vikings. If not him then roll the OC dice and get a QB in a year or two.

NIce quote here by Woody Johnson:
"That's part of it," he said. "The second is just to have -- I've got to have patience or whatever. I've got to let them evolve in these positions, which I think they will. I think it'll be quick, but I think they'll evolve."

- so he needs to have patience "or whatever" (no patience to speak properly, apparently). Also, he needs "patience" but he thinks they will "be quick" to evolve into their positions. Yes, it sounds like he is fully prepared for a road filled with patience.

The saints need to hire Fangio or the eagles OC.

Well, that's ironic.

Oh man! NFL owners, teams... you missed your chance for 2025. Ron Rivera is reportedly going to Cal. Not to be a head coach, mind you.

He is going to do "big picture" .. err.. stuff? It sounds like an episode of the Office, with the co-managers.

Well, stay tuned NFL; he may be available again in the future.

NFL Insider predicts Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel will be first HC fired after embarrassing performance

There were many questions about the way the Miami Dolphins have been practicing under head coach Mike McDaniel during the course of training camp. Well, those questions turned into major concerns for Miami after they lost in a big way on the road against the Indianapolis Colts by a final score of 33-8.

This loss for the Dolphins could potentially signal that a long year is ahead for them. Miami didn't show much fight in the game against Indianapolis from the opening kickoff until the end of the game. If they continue to play this poorly during the course of the 2025 NFL season, Miami could potentially make a change at head coach during the middle of the 2025 NFL season.

NFL Insider Believes That Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel Could be the First Head Coach Fired In 2025

There are always preseason predictions about which head coach could be the first head coach fired during a regular season. With the way the Dolphins performed on Sunday, there is a very good chance that McDaniel is the first head coach fired during the 2025 NFL season.

FOX Sports NFL insider Greg Auman believes that it is a real possibility for the Dolphins in 2025.

Dabol is nipping at his heels

Let's hope so because he's better than anybody they are going to replace him with.

They should have fired the GM before he let Barkley go to the Fecals.

I have 0.00% concern Mara hiring anyone capable. His GM and HC hires have all stunk: McAdoo, Shurmur, Judge, and Daboll; GMs: Dave Gettleman and Joe Schoen.

He passed on Adam Peters.

Im not as out on Schoen as i am dabol.

I think dabol is a good coordinator but a lousy head coach, but the giants roster isnt too bad, they have a lot of talent, if they do get the right coach they could become dangerous fast.

Unlike us who were a baron wasteland of talent that is going to take ten years to fully recover.

^^^ That was Ron Rivera even after several consecutive losses.

Totally oblivious. He's the coaching equivalent of Mr. Magoo
