that was the draft, but yeah no more of that. You mean we are not going to get FA based on them going to high school with the owner's kids? Say it's not so.

Do you mean Ronnie Stanley, from the Ravens? I think he's going to stay in Baltimore and it will be interesting to see what size contract he gets based on age and passed injury history.I feel like Stanley, from the Eagles, is having a freak healthy year and is a little bit older. I’d rather draft our guy at tackle and sign smith, who is 25 years old. Even if that means trading up to grab our tackle.

not the greatest year for Offensive Tackles, well nowhere near what happened last year. I'm also not a fan of the interior lineman.I agree. He will resign with Baltimore. But also, I’d rather get a young guy in the program from the 1st.
It looks like there are some OT's that are decent and will fall to our 2nd round pick. I would love to sign Trey Smith who could play OT, play guard at a high level and would help other players provide excellent depth. Trey Smith, a better than average CB and a good WR in FA would set us up great for the draft.not the greatest year for Offensive Tackles, well nowhere near what happened last year. I like the idea. Hope to pick up a decent RT in the second round of the draftI'm rolling with Coleman at LT one more year unless the perfect option pops up. He's a rookie, give him a full offseason as the starter and let's see how it goes.
RT tho...
Cosmi tore his ACL. Looks like guard might be on the menu after all. The timing sucks. Sam could miss all of next year.
I agree, FA for us just got a lot more interesting. We are in a unique situation right now playing for a chance at the Superbowl but still knowing that the roster is in serious need of upgrades at several positions. I wonder with our current draft position if we wouldn't be better off attacking oline, RB, and dline in the draft and going after WR, CB in FA......regardless it's going to be fun watching AP do his thing this off-seasonFA is going to be critical because of our lower draft slot
FA is going to be critical because of our lower draft slot
That's a fair point but you've got to take the 5th year option into account. They're not apples to apples. If Peter’s believes in himself this is the perfect spot to trade down. There’s not much difference between a low first rounder and a stood second rounder and you can find starters and even stars in the second round. Still, you never know who will drop to us.
Agreed, but that's mostly true if a player you love falls to your slot. For example, who cares about Dotson's or Davis' fifth year. Hell, we didn't even exercise the fifth year on the second overall pick of the draft. That's a fair point but you've got to take the 5th year option into account. They're not apples to apples.
Luther Burden is in shambles right now...Yep.
If Washington loses this Sunday, they'll probably be picking 29th, because they will have the worse record of the four teams left (14-6).
If Washington wins this Sunday, they'll pick either 31st or 32nd in the draft, depending on what happens in the Super Bowl.
Either way, pretty much all of the bluest of the blue chip players will be long gone before Washington's turn comes around. Their pick will be like an early second round pick.
So free agency does become very critical this offseason.
I have a feeling Mikey gonna get a nice extension in a couple years at this rate. Can also see him being a team captain rather quick. He plays, and carries himself like a 5 year veteran already. At this point I’d dig a 5th year option on Sainristil.
