Official Game Thread - Playoffs Week 2 - Commanders @ Lions

Wonder if this result will get in the Eagles' heads as they prepare for tomorrow's game?

Yeah and it was disappointing watching Mahomes flop his way to victory today. Some really bad calls against the Texans.
Mahomes and Daniels get it done in very different ways, but they are similar in that mental toughness is the biggest contributor to their greatness.

Yeah, Dan Campbell is the real deal. I am amazed that we beat their far superior team. They were ready, rested, but just couldn't compete.

A QB like Daniels just can't be denied apparently. I mean, the QB is just worth so much more whenever you have one of the top 2-3 guys, and we do. It's not even questionable. Right now it's Mahomes, Allen, Daniels, Burrow. Lamar Jackson isn't one of those guys. We are going to have a good run.

I think we need to score at least 30 to win this one...
On D, we need interior pressure on Goff. collapse the pocket and move him off his spot.
Nailed both of these! I thought they should sniff a stupid Big BJ gadget play out. I hoped I posted it, but I see I did not. You did, nicely done!

Yes. I respect Mahomes as a qb. But the flopping when he was running out of bounds was crap. The two roughing the passer calls were crap as well. I was pulling for the Texans to get the upset.

All teams have holes though.

The great teams mask those holes with elite play elsewhere. Washington does that.
Exactly. All teams have holes. When contracts come up, the best GMs have to figure out a new recipe to win, because the old recipe won't work. The economics don't work, because players will be ready to make more money due to the notoriety.

The coaching today was phenomenal. I have nothing to say about Kliff's playcalling. I mean, you can have a flub sometimes (the Mariota flub made me nervous, BRob looked like he screwed that play up, and many of us have been clamoring for a different look like CRod or something). However, the run calls, the pass calls, the timing... combined with Jayden's ability to beat the blitz...

These coaches picked a good time to bring their A-game. I think they held back just a smidge towards the end of the season. They had a couple of wrinkles that looked new today, or at least very rarely run.
