However, I don't think being this one-dimensional (with the second dimension carried by QB) is a good recipe. Our QB is always going to take too much of a beating to get us a Super Bowl. If that wasn't a thing, I am pretty sure Michael Vick would have at least one SB Ring. However-- it is a thing. If we are this dependent on our awesome QB's legs, we will be in the hunt annually which is cool, but I can't see full postseason success following that.

But Kliff is not the Running game coordinator. He is the playcaller but not the one who designs the running plays.
The biggest issue is their reluctance to get CRod involved early in the game. They don't even notice that BRob runs angrier when he gets back in after CRod shows him that there are yards to be had.

I hope against the Bucs they run CRod early and often. I want to see both CRod and BRob in the backfield with BRob flexing out wide to be a receiver.

Rewatching the Bucs game we were in it until we missed dem early field goals and were not able to bring Baker down.

If Lattimore is unable to go, I will still put St. Juste on Evans and roll coverage his way.

Let's pray that Biadasz is healthy enough to go.

I think the Lord, Dan Snyder is gone and she will have a functional franchise to pull for.

MY two boys are 11 and 14. We live in Arizona and I have been a Redskins fan most of my life! Trying to raise my boys to be Redskins fans has not been easy. There are not a lot of Redskins fans around here, so none of their friends are . . . they are mostly cardinals or cowboys fans. This year has been HUGE!! They both asked for Redskins/Commanders gear for Christmas! I got them Redskins sweatshirts, JD5 Commanders T-shirts (waiting rot then to bring the logo back for throwbacks to dish out the $$$ on jerseys), they wanted Commander football gloves (i coach both of their NFL Flag teams and they are the Commanders), and signed JD5 football cards! And now every time we are out wearing our stuff people stop and talk to us about JD5 and the team. They are happy to be fans now! Thankfully!!!!!
 
Seems to me that there have been a few games when Daniels has taken some early hits/sacks in the backfield, particularly from quick pressure, and it’s sometimes lead him to speed up his throws a tick and/or throw from a less than ideal base. Puts a little more heat on it, gets the ball to the receivers a split second early, and leads to some drops. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming Daniels - his line lets him down, the balls are usually still catchable, and self preservation is smart. I think the previous cases (that I had this impression) were all when his ribs were hurting and against good pass rushes IIRC, so there’s added motivation to not take a lot of hits.

Captain James you made the kind of post I was going to. Honestly, I can’t believe how much this team over-achieved this season. They truly defined how the sum is sometimes greater than the parts.

Like others said this is the first season we have had in years where it felt like we didn’t have to go on some freakish winning streak to last minute stumble into the playoffs. Probably the first time since 1999. Even the Gibbs 2 playoff teams had to go on 5 and 7 game winning streaks to get in. The 2012 team was also a 7 game streak. The 2015 9-7 division winner was just ok, and the 2020 team won the division with a losing record. With the exception of the 3 game losing streak to some of the top teams in the NFL we were pretty damn good all year. Even in those losses honestly. The turnaround this season has been nothing short of shocking.
 
Going to be curious to see how both the organization (and the fans) handle success moving forward.

It's an interesting theory.

I definitely agree that our OL is not winning 1-on-1 battles, a LOT. That is definitely true.

I had a longer post written, but I think we have discussed this a fair amount already. The reality is that what we see from Kliff is not an OC who is committed to the run. You can say you think it's due to the personnel deficiencies, but there is a chicken-and-egg problem too. Sometimes when you run more, your OL looks better. Sometimes when the snap cadence is more varied, your OL looks better. Sometimes when the formations are better disguised, when run plays have a better design... etc etc. So it's hard to separate everything, there are a lot of factors. I have seen little creativity in the run-plays called. It just looks like Kliff prefers to call passing plays. I am not saying that he wouldn't run the ball if they had more success or there aren't issues there - but I don't think he has much conviction to run.
