Official Game Thread - Week 18 - Commanders @ Cowboys

For whatever reason, I feel the team like its fans took Dallas for granted twice. They just thought it would be a cakewalk. If we had started sharp and built a big leader I do think Dallas would have packed it in. Instead, we gave them every reason to fight.
I thought we'd be up 3 TDs by halftime when I found out Ceedee Lamb wasn't playing and Trey Lance was starting. So I guess you're right.

He definitely played an inspired game today. Good call by DQ to put him in...I questioned that decision at first but Daniels couldn't have done much better aside from maybe get a TD run vs a 33 yard run on the 4th and 1.
They didn't pull Daniels for performance. They did it because Daniels was taking too many hits. Quinn wasn't willing to risk losing him to injury for a seeding game. Turned out, Daniels was having an off game. The O immediately got going once Marriota came in. Then again, we've seen this O turn it on in the second half before so I bet Daniels would have led another comeback if he was allowed to stay in.

I think this team sometimes forgets it's a try-hard team. We put up dominant scores and we have a dominant record, but that's because our talent over-produces. The whole needs to play better than the parts. Today, in the first half, the receivers were dropping balls, the QB was a hair off, and the D allowed Dallas to go up and down the field at will. Luckily, they kept them out of the end zone, but they were awful.

I actually think it's the complete opposite. No coaches could want to beat Dallas more than Quinn and Whitt Jr. If anything, we were pressing and the enormity of NOT beating Dallas twice in one season was a factor.

I can see that.

It's one extreme or the other.

Again we play like crap and win, look out if we actually play well in the playoffs! Love the exciting finishes regardless—this team has a LOT of heart

Four thoughts:

I hate bend but don't break defense. Make them effing punt!

That St. Juste pass interference was garbage. I wish the defenders on Terry were called the same way.

Mariotta has proved his worth twice. Thank you!

If I had a ban hammer I would use it on every idiot who uses the term paloffs! Get that filthy, ugly, outdated ES piece of bleep out of your vocabularies.
Ok not sure why you feel that way about ES and the no doubt numerous new registers you got from their closing, but ES was the best fan forum board for this team. I get you’re an owner of this site, but maybe some respect for new members that made the choice to sign up here after being left in the wind. Seems a bit over the top to trash it like that.

So who do we want, bucs or rams?

I'm not sure honestly, both teams possess different challenges.

He was on E.S for a very long time too.
I think he was trashing the paloffs stupidity a lot more than E.S

I took it as his disdain for the term " paloffs ", more so than any for ES.

I feel like NE gonna make a run at Kliff.

If I were Kliff I'd avoid Bears, Jets, Raiders, and Giants. But NE might be tempting for him to go with Drake.

I want to see a Bucs rematch.

Only game this year the team really didn’t compete well in and a lot of that was fielding a team that had never played with each other before.
