Random NFL Thoughts

Because he's not even a #2. (He'll be mine while I'm laughing on the john in the morning reliving today...) :ROFLMAO:
All of my Falcons friends were "WE LIKE THAT!" when he was traded here. I told them all to wait and see.

Didn't even take a whole fuckin' season...if the man can't grill a steak properly, he def can't run an offense that is SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT.

If this is a serious question, it is simply the NFL.

The Saints are an injury ravaged team who yesterday were playing for nothing, but more important than that... The Chiefs and Eagles barely survived some of the worst teams in the league this year. Bad games happen and awesome games happen. Sometimes they tell the story and sometimes it's mostly about the phase of the moon.

We dominated the Saints and then coasted in the second half. We coasted so long that they almost surprised us and caught up. That's the Tortoise and the Hare story in a nutshell. It's also what might have happened with us against the Eagles. The Eagles didn't coast, but I think they relaxed and when we were suddenly in the rearview mirror we shot by them before they could build their speed back up again.

My rope-a-dope thread from yesterday was a joke, but I also think there's a lot of truth in it.

The Fucking Packers. How did they get good with Jordan Love and not be devastated after Rodgers. ALL OF A SUDDEN. They dominate a team that nearly stole a win from us.

The thing is, other than coming off an injury, they knew exactly who Cousins was when they gave him that contract - a very accurate, efficient passer of the ball but not a guy who is going to elevate everyone around him or carry a team deep into the playoffs. Everyone in the NFL at this point knows who he is. So how do you sign that kind of contract and then give up on him before he's played one season?

It may be the right decision, which is the craziest part of the entire thing.
The same people who were critical of Kirk Cousins, for obvious reasons I may add, were praising the Falcons for the signing and instantly putting them in contention. He was also coming off a major injury and was now older so I didn't understand the praise at the time.

I was always a Kirk guy and one of the few who did not have a problem with them drafting Michael Penix. But Kirk Cousins was never going to lead them to a title and if you can find a long term solution for the position you have to take your shot. Now that Cousins signing looks like a complete disaster and will limit their abiliy to build around their young QB.

Strength and conditioning man, strength and conditioning.

The nfl has some weird rules when it comes to retirement.
Shaq barret retired pre season and wanted to come out of retirement but the dolphins wouldn't activate him and they wouldn't release him nor did they have to pay him so they had him by the balls and weren't even on the hook for his salary or a roster spot.
Well there must have been a lot of negotiations because the dolphins are now releasing him so he has a chance to play this year but he has to go unclaimed and sign with a team.
If he is claimed he is not eligible to play this year, so in essence a team that doesn't need his services but also doesn't want to face him in the playoffs can claim him and hold him hostage.

That makes zero sense to me but I don't make the rules.

Teddy Fucking Bridgewater - another weapon added by Detroit. He will put them over the top this year.

He was such a weapon he was watching games from the couch in his living room last weekend.

Come on - he's a decent backup QB and an upgrade experience-wise over Hendon Hooker - but if they lose Goff they are likely done.

Malik Nabers owes Roger Godell at least a nice Christmas present for making him cancel his Rookie-of-the-Year bet with Daniels.

Detroit needs to give us Gibbs back. Anyone with the name Gibbs belongs to us. Plus, he's the kind of running back we need.

Well it looks like Drake Maye had his second concussion this season. I was worried about Jayden staying healthy and Maye holding up better. Well may have been wrong on that.

He's back on the sideline, so he must've checked out ok.

Bo Nix puttin' on a show early...let's see if he can finish.

Eli Manning if not for family name recognition is not a HOF'er, please also note Mrs SO is a Giants fan but fuck it my couch is comfy.....if he gets in first ballot , total BS

This is kinda long but if you like hearing how messed up Mara and the giants are worth a listen
