Official Game Thread - Week 12 - Commanders vs. Dallas @NW - GIDDY UP!

anybody thinking we are superbowl bound in 2024 needs to stop dropping acid

I’ll be honest, this is a game that would normally worry me because it’s the Cowboys and they would like nothing more. But I keep coming back to Jayden and how he’s the wildcard for us.. I really hope he gets back to running and gunning as I think that’s when we are at our deadliest and is an indicator he’s feeling fine. I think it’s important.

It’s his first cowboys game so I’d like to see him locked in and urgent but calm from the get go. Don’t want to see his teeth unless he’s growling.. lol. LFG get it boys..Hope you feel better asap Kool!
The game does worry me. I think we will either win 63-0 or lose 23-21

Thanks brother. Glad to see ya here.

One of my Sellers memories... I think we tried to have him jump over the top from the 1 yard line... 3 times in a row. And failed. If my memory hasn't completely failed like Homers.
My memory of Sellers is he was, I think, the second of at least 4 players Doc Walker nicknamed “the caveman.”

Dude tried to be Chris Berman except had the creativity of a fly with a learning disability.

My Sellers memory may be unbeatable.

It was Gibbs first year back in his second go around and I tricked my bosses at WAMU into letting me cover training camp. So, I get down there and enter the building and as I'm talking to the receptionist suddenly these two enormous hands go around my neck and start squeezing. Yes, Mike Sellers tried to choke me.

He thought it was funny. He might have been right.

So you got choked by the caveman.

Did you also get choked by the other 4 cavemen? One of them was Lorenzo Alexander. I don’t honestly know who the other 2 were…

Jake Ferguson will be out for the Cowboys, he was/is an important part of their passing game. Zach Martin is unlikely to play as well.

Two big losses for the Cowboys.

We seem to be getting healthier, especially along the O’Line. Only Lattimore is definitely ruled out.

We need this win!

Those are big losses for them.

I think their OL situation is going to be dodgy at best. I think 2 or 3 of their starters left the Monday night game hurt. Our DL should be able to get pretty consistent pressure on Rush.

I think, defensively, there are 2 keys:

1. Stop the run. They can’t really run the ball anyway. Don’t let them start.
2. Don’t let Lamb beat you by himself. Double him all day long and force Rush to hold the ball and look for other targets.

If you do that, they’re probably stuck in neutral.

and begging to lose.

per Ben Standig

“Commanders made moves:

* Activated DE Javontae Jean-Baptiste from IR and removed him from the injury report

* Cleared a roster spot by releasing RB Chris Rodriguez Jr.

*K Austin Seibert (right hip) has been removed from the injury report”

Surprised we released Rodriguez, I think he’s a good back.

I would guess that CRod will be back after clearing waivers.
Yep. If he clears waivers. Which I expect he will, but also put some good stuff on tape. I imagine the reason they didn’t try to move him down earlier is there was some thought he might get snagged.

But I would assume he’ll re-appear in the practice squad in the next few days.

Yeah, it’s possible, but I would venture unlikely, that another team would sign him to their 53.

If I had a spot, and I was either Dallas or Tenn, I would.

I seriously doubt that CRod makes it back to our PS. He ran well when given a chance and Jeremy McNichols should have been the odd man out, IMO. AP is the man but I disagree with him putting JM over CRod.
