I voted 2, but if they beat the teams they should 4. Right now they are playing good enough to lose close and the injury attrition is harsh.

:indian-chief: The Rook

I'm an optimistic 5. I think there is a genuine possibility they beat the eagles at home.

Growth is happening, rookies get better as things go on, and if our secondary gets the strong addition waiting in the wings with Lattimore, this could end up better than expected.

Unless there is an injury to JD and assuming we have Lattimore for the remaining games I see no reason this team wont have at least 4 wins.

I'm shooting the moon and win the last 6 .I think Philly was the wake up call. I think the extended time off gets JD healed up, Lattimore healthy, BRob rested up more, our OLine rested and we come out like a rocket.
We beat a hobbled Dallas team, take down the Titans, then have the Bye to get more rest.
I foresee a MUCH different Philly game this time around.

I voted 4, but am hoping for more!

Never though double digit wins would be possible in August.
Now I see double digits as a disappointment if they don't reach it. What a great feeling.
Getting needed rest and recoup along with more infusion of Magee, Mathis and then there's Lattimore on defense and more Sinnott on offense will the catalysts for a good finish to the regular season.

Current playoff standings headed in today’s games.

The number to shoot for is 10. Can they get three more wins? I'd like to think so, but we'll see how the team responds following its first real adversity this season.

Thank God this team is done with the Giants. They typically do real bad against "the next man up," and we already have to worry about that with Dallas.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Wow...you're damaged lol.

This team has already proven this isnt the same team.

This fan conversation is playing out all over Washington fandom. DieselPwr44 and I have been going at it since early in the season along this same line.

There is validity in both viewpoints.

Until the team really shows that the dynamic has changed, and that they know how to build a perennial winner, all of the excitement and trust the other half of the fanbase applauds means nothing. But damn, as a member of that other half of the fanbase, things sure look to be going in the right direction. Someday soon, this fractured fanbase will come together.

Don’t forget that there is a faction within this fanbase (and every fan base, to be fair) that will never be satisfied with anything less than a SB win.

This concludes my Ted Talk.
Second place is 1st loser 😉

Not sure what more you need to see - lost a close one to Pittsburgh in heartbreaking fashion, came back and played Philly extremely close until the end of the game on a three day rest. We'll beat Philly next time because we'll be at much better strength against them. This mini-bye comes at a great time for us.

After coming down from the frustrations of leading (and losing) to the Steelers and Eagles, I'll frame it this way:

I still believe we have a shot at only losing 1 more game...could be against the Eagles, Falcons, or Saints. We'll see what happens!

I need to see how they finish the season and if they can carry positive momentum into next season. It's much easier to be a flash in the pan than it is to be a solid contender year in and year out.

There is that faction but it's small.

There is a larger portion of what's left of this fanbase that knows this club has been Lucy Van Pelt the last 25 years and we ain't exactly running up because we think we can kick the ball this time....and I don't see anything wrong with feeling that way.:)
