Random Commanders Thoughts

Fowler and Luvu have been markedly more effective than the overhyped Sweat + Young combo. I do think Sweat is a good player, on par with what Orakpo was when he was healthy. Getting a 3rd from SF for Chase, on the other hand, was highway robbery!

chase turned to shit after blowing out his acl.

You think? The Cardinals have been steamrolling opponents, including the Bears when we struggled against them
And that's why matchups matter. Every year you see teams get beat by teams who lose to teams those teams have beaten (if you follow the logic).

We have a W against them. In the end, that's all that matters.

How do you explain the Bucs having wins over us, the Eagles, and Lions yet being 4-6?

I cant say about the eagles and lions, but bucs beating us was an anomaly of our season so far. first game nerves or caution? i dont know

One thing to remember about the Bucs game was that it was closer than it looked. We had a lot of scoring drives, but missed all our field goals. This eventually led to the game getting out of hand and the O becoming one dimensional

Mayfield is one of the most inconsistent QBs in the NFL - that's part of it. A team's chances vs. the Bucs depend a lot on whether you face good Baker, or ugly Baker.

I honestly wonder if everybody realized how many demons needed exorcized from this team. Most would pick us over the Bucs at this point, and the defense is playing so much differently now versus then.

Plus the aforementioned Godwin and Evans situation...

Any given Sunday. It's why showing up matters for every opponent you face.

According to my calculations Washington has won 10 out of 11 coin flips. Is that right or did any opponents choose to kickoff after winning the toss?

The only game where they received the opening kickoff was Week 2 vs the NYG (which Ekeler returned for a TD that was disallowed due to penalty).

The Steelers v Ravens game made me feel a little better about our game against Pittsburgh. It seems that the Steelers are just really good at defensing mobile QBs.
