Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Steelers @ Commanders

The Steelers are exceptionally well coached and physical.

I think this is a very evenly matched game on paper. But we’ll see.

I’m hoping we have a home field advantage and ten stadium isn’t entirely taken over by Steeler fans. That fan base travels.

Philly in Philly is probably the hardest game left on our schedule.

If we beat Pittsburgh, that is going to be the best win of the season by a pretty good margin.

There will be a lot of Steelers fans and they'll be loud.
I'm sure that they bought up tickets before the season started.

They probably won't be as huge a presence and as obnoxious as before since their team hasn't exactly been doing much of anything, and had few expectations going into this season.

I mean, compared to the prime Roethlisberger 2008 game.

I hope that you're right, but I doubt it.
Regardless of their record, Steelers fans are fiercely loyal. Their fans who don't have season tickets at Three-Rivers, (or whatever they're calling it these days), will buy up tickets early and travel in droves to any city within driving distance.
Sucks for us season-ticket holders, but it is what it is.
Those terrible towels though...UGH!

Just read that the Steelers are coming off their bye this week. Maybe this happens to every team, but we faced Chicago after their bye and now Pittsburgh. It's frustrating.

Agreed, but maybe that works in our favor? We've got momentum.

What's more aggravating, is the trek up to Philly 4 days later.

I hated that our own bye week is so late...but now I'm thinking that this is a good thing to get some much needed time off so late in the season.

Steelers are a lot like us, opportunistic and taking teams that don’t respect them for ‘L’.

Where we differ is how we win.

This is a matchup of a defense led team vs a team lead by its quarterback.

It’s still so early in his career but my first thought each week now is ‘Will Jayden allow us to lose this game’? 😁

We have played a tougher schedule than Pittsburgh. Their wins include some major powderpuffs.

One more thing for us to overcome.

"Under Mike Tomlin, the Steelers sit with an impressive 13-4 record after a bye week. Currently, the Steelers have won seven straight games after a bye week dating back to 2017. Their last loss coming off a bye came in 2016 in Baltimore."

I’ll be in Key West during this game and the Filthadellphia game. Anyone got recommendations on where to watch?

Yeah I'm used to hoping we have a midseason bye, but now that we're a juggernaut (for once), this late bye could help us rest up before the final playoff push!

Apologies if this is meant for somewhere else.

Pittsburgh 17
Washington 10

You guys will figure out we don’t freak out about posts here, lol. This is exactly where one would post a prediction.

Only 10 points?

If the Colts without a top quarterback can put up 24 and the Giants put up 18, I would think a Daniels offense would score a bit more.

This may be a higher scoring game than most people think.

My admittedly biased guess is:

Washington 28
Pittsburgh 24

The records for teams the week after after winning walk-off TD's was 1-7 before last week.
A rookie QB hasn't swept the Giants since 1950
The over/under for wins this season is 6.5
