I like what Peters is doing overall. What it shows me though is he is confident. He's not going out and making a big splash signing to get fans jumping out of their chairs but rather making solid moves for mid-tier players that seem to have outdistanced the expectations for them during their NFL careers, with the exception of Ferrell, who has great athleticism and seemed to be coming on last year before going on IR in SF.
In re quarterback, I don't think Peters moves down. While I might trade down and take a Penix on a feeling from watching his games, Peters IMO is going to stay at #2 and make the pick. I agree that Mariota is going to be the backup in any event (unlike some Twitter folks that feel Mariota should be the starter with Howell as the backup

), but from a fit standpoint it seems most logical to pair him with a quarterback with the profile of Jayden Daniels.
