2023 NFL Playoffs Thread

Chase loafed for most of that game and was handled 1:1 by the Lions for the most part.

We fleeced SF in that trade. He isn't worth even a 3rd at this point.

The last time the Lions were there was 1991.

With losses to the coaching staff and free agency being what it is, you can't ever assume you'll be right back there.
They may never get this far again.

That isn't the way guys like Campbell think though, DP.

Remember, he took a job with a miserable organization 3 years ago believing he could change it and he did. He believes this team will only get better.

I was fine with Campbell going for it the first time. His aggressiveness is what got them to where they are. And the play call worked. Goff was a little off on the throw but Reynolds should have caught it.

The second time though, he should definitely have kicked to tie the game with 7 minutes left. There is different pressure when the game is tied vs when you have the lead. Plus SF can't go up more than 1 score if they do score. But you also know that he would go for 2 if the Lions scored after being down 7. So he would have been criticized for that too.

The bottom line is he coached the way he had all year and got them to the NFC Championship. His decisions are definitely worth criticizing, but I'd rather my coach do what has worked all year than pucker up and play it safe in the playoffs to avoid criticism.

The playoffs are much different than the regular season, You had an 80 % plus chance of making the two field goals and less than 50% chance of making the first downs. You take the 3 points every time in the playoffs.

In fairness to him, he actually made a few plays yesterday. I was even waiting to see he was the one with the blown assignment on that end around TD, but it was Bosa who collapsed and left the backside wide open. The few times I heard Young’s name, he was making a play.

Chase wont be in the NFL next year he is total hype and nothing more.

The 49ers thought that and gave us a 3 for complete trash. If San Fran can't get him going with all that other talent around him no one will. Now if he wants to play for vet min......

Willhe play for vet min - that's all he will be offered. Any team paying more is INSANE after watching him on the SF defense

Would not surprise me if Chase Young retired after the season's over.
