Random Commanders Thoughts

If Rivera doesn’t formally complain about it and demand another officiating crew, he’s incompetent. At the very least, even if they don’t change the crew, they will be on notice that they better not make any major mistakes in the Giants favor in this one.

The NFL is more interested in fining players for uniform violations than protecting players from vicious, illegal hits via suspension much less holding officials accountable for poor performance.

Why am I starting to see speculation of Belichick being fired at the end of the year and the %chance he ends up in Washington? Would anyone really want him here? He's had full control up there and everything is falling apart. On top of that, while he's had a tremendous history, I haven't seen much sign he's been real successful without HOF Tom Brady playing for him.

I think that’s just speculation for all the reasons you mentioned and also because he’s over 70. Hard pass. Now if a certain Steelers HC were to become available….

Nope. If for no other reason than it would be too much of a Snyder play. Hottest ex-gray beard-coach on the market. Sounds like Shanny, Schottenheimer, Rivera, and even Gibbs. So far only Gibbs sort of worked out.

The man is 71. And wouldn't be bringing Brady in his prime with him. Hard hard pass.

Give me a proven GM who hires a young, energetic, offensive-minded HC and let's roll.

Gonna put him in another situation where he can personally contribute to another loss? I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see this.

You can make a credible argument that we have played three of the worst teams in the league and not only went 1-2 against them, but weren't even competitive in the losses. In the one game we won against the Broncos, it required a miracle comeback of 21 points. Hell, even Buffalo turns out to be beatable this year.

I actually did laugh out loud and then I thought... Maybe?

Jamin Davis could use some coaching too.

Sometimes it appears these guys are out on the field doing their own thing.

Defense collectively is terrible.

After watching this team for 50 years how many times has a Washington qb thrown for 400 yards and 4 TDs and LOST?

Not too many.

Howell is a rookie starter but his issues are correctable.

After 4 years Ron’s deficiencies as HC seem permanently set in.

How Jack Del Rio still has a job is a major question.

If Scott Turner deserved his walking papers what has Del Rio done to warrant more time?

Yeah. Howell and the offense were the mirror image of last week's defensive performance - they did enough to win. This team cannot for the life of them, put super solid performances by both the offense and defense on the books in the same game. It's one - or the other. Never both.

A shame because they deserved to win this one today.
