Random NFL Thoughts

This might be the first year in 20 I don't watch every Washington game, with youtube taking over Sunday ticket and how ridiculous the cost is I don't think I can stomach it. I really wish they'd just let you pay for one damn team to watch.

I want to say I heard prime was gonna have that option if they had won the bid, but don’t quote me on that

That had been reported but not confirmed, people need 3 different services for games and with the NFL's greed I'm sure more deals are coming . Monday night football (ESPN), Thursday night (Prime) out of market (Youtube), I envy those who get local broadcasts lol.

Officers have arrested former Washington standout Bashaud Breeland. Their evidence: A stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV, 62 grams of suspected illegal mushrooms, more than five pounds of marijuana and eight guns, including two AR-15s and two AK-47s.

I'm sure he was just holding onto those for a friend, in someone else's car .....maybe??

Seeing the whole Michael Oher thing blow up is really sad. That is just such a great movie and example of how people should help each other, to think it's distorted or dishonest is very sad.

I’m a little suspicious of the whole thing, because it appears this only became a ‘thing’ after the movie was made and there were millions of dollars made. But If the couple really did get a huge payday and Oher was essentially cut out that’s pretty disgusting.

Agreed. I wish it was handled in private, but that wouldn't make for good TV

and why now? The movie came out YEARS ago.

I wonder if Oher is broke, and something that didn't bother him while he was an NFL LT bothers him now that he see's all that money he 'missed' out on.

It's unfortunate as a whole. Does he deserve to be compensated for his 'story'? Sure. Did he also remove any legal ground to stand on? It appears that way... It's all sad.

It sounded to me like he only recently discovered that he didn’t actually sign legal adoption papers and that mostly they were documents giving legal authority and financial control to them. Maybe that pissed him off in addition to getting shut out of the movie profits?

that would make sense... and its a genuine purpose behind the recent news.

I hope that's the case, not because I wanted him to get screwed, but more because a recent outrage simply because of financial status would be sad.

The family says it was so well known they even had his mother in the court room when they did it.

It's all so stupid. If he was denied or swindled I get it, but why is this shit in public? Just sad.

My thought, it involves race and that gets clicks in our society now

Private VPN

I'll be using one this season.

I use express VPN and can confirm it works.

Download the fox and cbs apps and you'll be golden most of the time, too.

I stream using VPN and connect to the big screen tv. Not exactly 4k but good enough.

I don't really consider 'ESPN' as a 3rd requirement only because just about every cable package in American carries ESPN (although I suppose if one is off-grid and not using traditional cable that could be an extra expense). The NFL probably considers those 'free games'.

I have always felt that Sunday Ticket should include every game everywhere including preseason. It's a big dissatisfier to pay up for that service and still not get every game. The infuriating thing about the NFL is that they don't give a rat's ass about their customers as I'm sure they have gotten that feedback over and over countless times but ignore it. They also know that the #1 desire of NFL fans is to be able to buy a package of *just their team's games* at a lower cost but they'd rather hold fans hostage for a few more dollars.

That's the problem with monopolies. They do whatever they want and consumers can take it or leave it.

Neo and Mike, luckily a coworker set me on the VPN course last week , much appreciate the help it does work.
