What a terrible statement all around. Sounds like he has a guilty conscious and is worried about getting caught himself. First off, as we’ve said on here before, this report isn’t political, so him trotting that out just looks and sounds dumb. I don’t think anyone is winning an election for this report. Secondly, he didn’t say any of the facts were false. So he’s not even denying that it’s p
true. Thirdly, he just claims they are going after Snyder. Well yeah, they are because LOOK AT WHAT HE DID. They didn’t randomly go after him like he’s trying to make it sound. There are real problems that needed to be addressed. Jerry may very well be next.

I have thought all along that this is some kind of evil gambit on Snyder’s part. Hard for me not to considering his well-documented history.

This really doesn’t add any true value but…for what it’s worth.

Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder might not be willing to sell the team despite previously hiring BofA Securities to "consider potential transactions," a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

"The source is aware of no objective indication that the process is moving forward," Florio reported. "Indeed, multiple interested parties (per the source) have encountered some 'resistance' in their effort to move things forward."

The source reportedly is concerned Snyder might not sell at all and agreed with the possibility that the initial announcement was simply to clarify the interest from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

He needs to go. He probably feels with the Republicans taking the House he’s shielded from wrongdoing, but despite the winning his brand is too damaged.
If he loves the team the best thing he can do for it is make a huge profit and run.
A one and done playoff appearance will not reverse ticket sale woes, get him a new stadium deal, or change his rep.

I really do want to believe it.

But, this is like the WWF. It's all scripted and we're just the suckers in the seats who pay good money to be left pissed off.
 
Was just relieved to see the WaPo article referenced. Just read the piece itself, and it at least gives a welcome counterpoint to Goodell's vacuous statement that made bile rise in my throat thinking oh shit maybe this really ISN'T gonna happen,

Such garbage. Everything's fine now! Look Snyder's investigation of himself says so!
 
I don’t think much has really changed - it’s clear the NFL wants him gone as does the fanbase. He’s not going to find minority owners who want to jump in with him. And no one in DC/MD/VA is willing to do a stadium deal with him.

That equals him selling imho.

But I have the same fears everyone does.
