Rivera would be a very good face of the organization as a president or something ceremonial centric.
The problem is that he is not a very good coach, talent evaluator, or roster builder.
He should be what Doug Williams is right now...

Oh man, put my foot in my mouth there! Respect.
Excellent point. I would 100% say that if anyone likes Howell, he should not play under Turner. Turner is QB poison, feeding into some of a QB's bad tendencies over encouraging winning tendencies.Do you trust this coaching staff to begin Sam Howell’s playing career or would you rather wait for the new coaching staff?
I don't mind Rivera being here next year as much as Turner being here. In a real environment where you are judged on performance and results matter, Turner would never have survived the way he has.I said this in chat.....with an average time of 6.5 months to finalize a deal does that mean we won't see a major staff overhaul? If not, maybe Rivera could can Turner, but I suspect we see at least Rivera next year if a new ownership happens.

Heinicke was bad yesterday. The playcalling was terrible too. But I'm not sure bad playcalling caused Heinicke to be bad, you know what I mean? We aren't going to the playoffs or beating good teams with this coaching staff. I do think we need to see Howell on the field against starters. It would at least give us some idea whether he is a potential future starter. Knowing Rivera and his delusional view of where this team is, he won't see the field in 2022.
Honestly, Heinicke has not been good since he regained the starting position. He's had a few amazing throws and a few nice drives, but the reason we won is the game was close enough that one good play mattered.
