Agreed. I'd love to take a flyer on a QB in the latter part of the draft if there's some raw player with high potential out there, but in the first two rounds I think we go for BPA with a side of need which may mean safety, linebacker, wide receiver, corner, and possibly DT depending on what they think about Payne, the loss of Settle and Ion, plus the upcoming contracts for Sweat and Young.true.... but you devalue the pick at that point if that's not the plan. I guess we could shock the world and take a QB, but that would feel a little irresponsible to me when they invested what they did for Wentz... market value or not. With what they gave up and are paying Wentz, the prudent thing would be to surround him with talent... and drafting an insurance policy at QB with that pick would lead everyone to wonder why trade for Wentz in the first place.
That said, I'm all for stacking the QB room.... once you hit, nobody is really going to care how you got there... but I think taking a QB at 11 leaves a lot of possible talent on the board for other teams.
Sheesh... that's a lot of needs.
