BTW this is a major point. I've heard conflicting info that they no longer have an exempt status, but this representative (Ms Speier) is now talking about taking money back out of the NFL's pockets, as well as the other owners. THAT is how you effect change in the NFL... hit them in the wallet

 




Florio has never been one to be liked by Redskins nation, but at this point he may be our biggest advocate. He pulls weight in the media and if he continues THIS... it may continue to apply the pressure.
 
A dog pile on Snyder and the NFL. The other owners are going to have to cut bait.

On Twitter I generally like to read and not post much but I am so angry at the team and the league right now I can’t help myself.

Don’t think I haven’t noticed your support. A career lurker like me notices every like, so thanks for that.

Done. This needs to be signed by every Washington fan who cares about women, abuse, and setting things right. Please sign and share everywhere you can.
 
Not too long after the media broke the story of Watergate back in the early 1970s, President Nixon denied everything. As more evidence was uncovered, the coverup began. Hearings were scheduled in the House and the Senate. Nixon erased portions of his tapes. He continued to deny that his henchmen were involved. Evidence continued to mount. Nixon went on to fire the special prosecutor and the fireworks were just getting started.

Members of Nixon's own party began to point the finger at him and the coverup he was orchestrating. As pressure on Nixon continued to build in Congress and in the courts, the president continued to be defiant. Nixon was adamant that he was not a crook and the media was completely unified at that juncture in exposing everything. More Republicans were now calling for Nixon to resign and some were talking about impeachment.

As the impeachment hearings intensified, it was obvious that Nixon would be going down within a few weeks. For whatever reason, he continued to remain steadfast in his stubborn denials. In the final days, Nixon's inner circle began to abandon him one by one, and shortly before his resignation, the only people that supported him were his daughters, a son-in-law, and wife. It was over and the nation could begin to heal from Watergate.

The parallels to Dan Snyder are obvious. Fans need to be unified in keeping this story on the front burner. Florio and the media need to increase the heat each day. The victims need to continue their efforts. Congress should do everything in its power to increase the pressure. If a president can wilt under the power of the people, then fans, media, Congress, and all of us can make a difference. Sign the petition.
