Okay, so now I've seen the uniforms a bit more clearly.... Still HATE the white one.

I like the burgundy shirt, those shoulders remind me of the throwback jerseys, so clearly there's a link there...

What I've never been a huge fan of (outside of the all whites - which they've now ruined!) is the red on red pants and jersey combo. I think I'd prefer to see the burgundy jersey with white pants, and vice versa.

I kinda like the black, I love that they stuck with the numbers on the helmet. BUT it dows look kind of Steelerish.

Still hate that all the fonts are inconsistent.

The helmets I quite like in isolation, but I get the same vibe from them I got from when we'd do throwback uniforms last year when the shirt colour didn't match the helmet and to me it just jarred. This feels the same to me. I'd have been happier with the same helmets as this past year, just with the updated logo. I think I'd have liked to see the number on one side and the logo on the other, but then that's DEFINITELY Steeler territory.

The name is still kind of meh. I don't hate it. Don't love it.

Follow up...

I think what I find a little odd on the Burgundy uniforms is that there's a lack of white to balance it. It's a LOT of burgundy. I'd have like to have kept the contrasting facemasks too.

All this just appears that they are not doing this for current fans. They have stated they wanted to grow the base, for other pursuits as well. They are not appealing to the people that have been with them for years, but have dwindled as a result of poor experiences in recent history; they are appealing to their prospective fans as shown by their surveys to the general populace.

That appears to be the "fans" they are talking about, not the fans of the Redskins.

They aren't even consistent with the helmet layout. If you want to go with a 'W' on the front, why not do it on all of them? They'd at least be unique in that regard - 'W' is a stupid logo but having it on the front of the helmet is at least original. Why not have the W on front and the badge on the sides (or maybe on one side with player number on the other)? They're just all over the place from uniform to uniform...

For what it is worth, I teach a bunch of 12 year olds and they all think the uniforms are "fire."

As mentioned earlier in the thread, they don't really give a damn about the ones who have stuck around forever.

I’m still on the fence with all of this .. I agree it’s hard to fall out of love with something we are all deeply invested in but to call a name change and everything that comes with that ( logo , uniforms and colors ) silly stuff is a little outrageous to me .. to each is own so everyone is intitled to there own opinions and I respect that but to me they will always be the refskins and if I can’t over time get on board with the commanders I’ll have to jump ship … I will say my 2 sons age 14 and 18 love the new name so maybe there is hope for me too 😂

I hope they are getting destroyed for that Super Bowl Year goof. The name, the colors, the uniform, let’s face it, that’s all a matter of opinion. But to get this wrong, is unacceptable. This is fact and a vital part of the team history they screwed up. Stuff like this makes me miss the days of the Snyder rage fire. Someone should be fired for this.
