This week, it’s a must win game in enemy territory as Washington battles Dallas to try and keep their fading playoff hopes alive.

The guys discuss the valiant but vain effort against the Eagles and the challenges ahead…

A point Om and others made well last night…

Praise Jeebus!

Running Gibson 7 times in one drive proved we don't know how to properly use a RB like him. He was hurt after that and ineffective.

We already have McKissic that is a game changer, but my thoughts are it's time to get Patterson the ball more if we want to be run heavy.

Also, why did we sign a FB if we aren't using him?

Heinicke, Mayo, and Hemingway all off COVID list

Kind of a tough week to discern and discuss after Tuesdays game (well done gents btw) because for me, how do you dissect a game where the roster was decimated and we had essentially half a staff, and half a team. On the point regarding why bring in Gilbert if we've had the other two guys on the PS. Pure speculation, maybe those guys on the PS are scout team QB's that are there only to mimic the opposing QB's we face, maybe their actual knowledge of the playbook is 2nd in importance to replicating the other teams plays? I dunno, it does seem odd they'd go out and grab Belichicks towel boy to start. Turner not adjusting to the flow of the game, that's just genetics folks those Turner genetics. Now about Dallas, hopefully we have a lot of our guys back for the game, we need to disrupt their offense, Zeke is a ghost running up the middle after he gets licked and as ST pointed out Dak has Kirk Cousins syndrome when someone's in his face. Now whether our offense can muster enough to win, that's the $10 question (why only $10, cuz I'm cheap). Losing Logan was probably the biggest blow to the offense this year especially down the stretch minus the fact we now go to Ihop to recruit O lineman.

No Holcomb this game cause Covid. The football gods hate this franchise.

Dallas puts them away early but they won't take their foot off the gas like last time.

I expect they'll get thoroughly embarrassed Sunday...

Sorry, but we all know it's coming.

I don’t know it’s coming. Honestly the way this team has battled under tough circumstances this season (for the 2nd season in a row btw), it’s a little disrespectful to completely write them off. Is it possible they get blown out? That is always possible but that’s not how we’ve lost games this year and I expect them to battle in this one too.

You know what, it would be very Redskins-like to somehow find a way when people least expect it. They do have their moments where they pleasantly surprise us all when everybody is completely down on them.

Most recently, the Tampa game is one such example.

As well, we all remember clawing back from 5-7 in 2007 to squeak into the playoffs, and the run of 7 straight wins in 2012 to climb out of a 3-6 hole.

It will be really hard to convince me that if this team gets to 4-2 in the NFC East they won't qualify for the postseason. 4-2 is still a possibility as we all know. The problem is we have given ourselves zero margin for error now.

It will take a monumental effort no doubt on Sunday, but somehow finding a way to win the one game in front of us gives a totally different feel to the final two contests, which are both very winnable.

We have approximately 4 months to talk about free agency and the draft in the new year. I am going to try and enjoy this season until it truly is over.

I'd agree with that if health wasn't an issue. Just can't see it when the club is decimated this way.
Sometimes, injuries are too much to overcome.

Anyone got salt to clear up all this ice?!!!

Love this time of year on BGO!

I go outside, there is snow everywhere.

I come inside and hop on BGO and there is snow everywhere.

I love life in Canada...can't get away from the white stuff no matter what you do!

The snow here always makes me think of the old NFL Films clip of Billy Kilmer playing in the snow. :)

Listened to Blind Pig (Awesome as always) and was reading the web reports from Heineke earlier. One thing struck me.
Boone, I think mentioned about the effects of Covid being an issue on the D-Line. Heineke said in his interview that when he was having symptoms he was getting breathless just moving laundry.
It was such a fast turnaround this last week for the guys on the D-line that you have to wonder what their 'conditioning' was like for that game.

I don't think this point can be overstated. Not only were a lot of them coming off a positive covid test, but there was very little available in the way of substitution.

Here's a snap count breakdown. Payne - 65 plays. Allen - 59. Ioannidis - 48.

For reference, the table on the right is the snap count vs Tampa Bay..... Payne... 38 plays.... Allen... 39. Ioannidis... 25. They almost doubled it.

Offensive ineptitude plays into those defensive snap counts also. Gibson being dinged up isn't going to help. The prospects of relying on Patterson and Williams to cobble together a run game doesn't exactly inspire.......which is another reason why drafting another RB should be another item on the "To do" list in the next draft.

I know you guys don’t think I’m capable of listening and changing my mind but you swayed me on the ‘add another power back’ argument. I still think Gibson doesn’t get enough credit for toughness and how physical a back he is, but another high quality basher to split reps with or spell him makes a lot of sense.
