WFT Time Machine - One Game, One Player

London Fletcher because we need a field general on D we know can make the play.

If Alex can't go, I'd even ask Jason Campbell or Mark Brunell to take the field so we have something at QB.

That’s why you have to consider Theismann over ST. Our D is already good enough to keep Philly in check. But we need to put some points up. As great as ST was I might still have to go with Joe.

We don't do well with running QBs and Jalen will take off on you.

If we are choosing one QB and picking the type of game he has, we have to pick Doug. I am not a fan, but his super bowl performance was pretty darn good.

Well, if there's no restriction with this time machine, then Sonny or Sammy are better than Joey.

Hence the RG3 look. I'm not saying I want him back, but player in their prime, 1 game... you could scheme a ton with him his rookie year.

I think we are going to be in a tight game on Sunday that will come down to the last 2 or 3 minutes. Hopkins has been hit or miss this season and I am sure that I would likely vomit if the game rode on his back on Sunday in the final seconds. What about Moseley for a game winning kick?

I don’t think you can take a ‘game performance’ - you’re taking a player in their prime with no guarantee how they perform. I mean, we’d all take Williams Suoer Bowl performance in that case :)

Sammy s a ‘way back’ choice. Too risky as we don’t know if he could even play in a modern NFL. Be kind of like putting Pat Fischer in - he might not survive the first quarter. Sonny was a great passer but I like Joey T as a dual threat QB. Fits what Scott Turner wants to do.

I'd rather change the start time to 1pm instead of adding a player from the past, ffs we suck at night

Well, I don't think you can get that RGIII without Kyle Shanahan.

The crappy pick machine is more likely to show up without Kyle.

Seeing what Rivera did with Cam in his MVP season, I wouldn't be so quick to write off his ability to use a players versatility when the game is on the line..

Agreed. Great thread idea.

I can't argue any of these choices. Any of them would be able to come in and turn the tide for us.

Cam was a tanky 240lb fish eater then. Cam is now a vegan weakling who has a broken body. Since they installed their Air Coryell there, their line also was good enough to let those long deep plays work.

RGIII was always built slim and frail, with very bad pocket presence despite his 4.3 40-time.

I highly doubt Joey T could read a modern defense either.

Sammy could play QB and defense. Two birds with one stone. If Taysom Hill can survive a few weeks, Sammy could last a game.

the question wasn't better career.

It was who would you take, 1 game, in their prime, to beat the Eagles THIS weekend.

RG3 was as versatile and dynamic as they come when he was in his prime.

Joey T was a gamer brother... we’ll just have to agree to disagree there.
