I will be extremely skeptical even if Allen leaves the building, the team and the DC metropolitan area never to return.

If he stays with the team in any capacity I see no progress whatsoever. Just fan service to placate those who want Allen ‘fired'.

Bottom line, I am ten years past done believing “Dan Snyder has changed his ways THIS time.”

Nah. He'll still be Dan Snyder. Unless we get really really reallly lucky this team tops out at 9 wins for the next thirty or so years.

I hear ya Henry and generally agree. I guess I am still nutty and holding out hope that this billionaire will finally get to the point many of us have and be broken and ready to surrender to the football gods (ie a coach and gm who are football people who he finally lets just do their job). I have seen a lot of fans (including myself) who I never thought would get to the point of indifference but it's happened and it shows in the stands and in merchandise sales (very telling that none of the Redskins stuff on any racks in DC stores I was in recently were even close to being empty while many racks of other teams were including Nats stuff). Maybe Snyder will finally step back and pay attention to all the critics from professionals to the casual fan...the anger and criticism is pretty much ubiquitous.

For me, it's not “will Dan Snyder change.” It's more about can he get lucky and hire the right guy. And yes, I think it will take a lot of luck to get that guy. We are like every person playing the lottery hoping we are that one, even though we know we will never win it. But for some reason there is that hope that we are the lucky one.

Yeah a stout/disciplined defense is sounding better by the minute. Curious to know which if any position coaches on the defense will be retained? Ryan can go kick rocks with Manusky

such low expectations if we don't start winning 10 games plus after 20 years it's time for a new coach lol

Callahan at 62 is probably too old to get a HC position in the NFL at this point of his career.

He will most likely be an OL coach/Asst HC somewhere as he was in Dallas and Washington.

He did a credible job this year with an offensive line that was without Trent Williams, had a big hole at LG to start the offseason, and had Brandon Scherff playing a portion of the year with a torn labrum.

Donald Penn came in and played well.

Flowers came in and exceeded expectations.

The one disappointment was Morgan Moses continuing to be a penalty machine at RT, although the number of penalties overall declined under Callahan.

Wes Martin also looked good when he got a chance to play late in the season.

Given his cheap contract, Martin as a former #4 in 2019 should be given every opportunity to win that RG job if Scherff departs or LG if Flowers departs in free agency.

For some reason, Jay Gruden simply didn't want to play certain guys, guys that we needed to take a look at for the future of the team.

Who else would have been OK with starting Shawn Lauvao for 4 years at LG?

I bet under Rivera Lauvao would have lasted ONE year tops.

When Vic Fangio at 61 was hired by Denver last year that raised some eyebrows.

Notice the hot guy this year is Bieniemy, who's only 40.
