I don't think there's any reason for Rivera to want to keep around the guys who have managed to turn the franchise into an abject failure for most of the past decade. He's going to want his own people. He'll 'interview' some of them in the interest of fairness, but I see near total turnover coming. I think we have some solid scouting resources - which we've seen reflected in better drafting of late. But I'm not sure ANY of our coaches, except perhaps Nate Kaczor, will be retained. And I'm not sure anyone in the front office will be spared.

What makes you say this about him...the immaturity?

I think he is, too...and it is what was reported last year by those around him, that he is a little high in his britches. Was it a conclusion over time, or was there something in particular?

Today was the first day out of the house since the surgery so I have been out of the loop all day.

This, to me is one of the most interesting narratives of the offseason, no matter what happens.
I'm not ready to count him out - neither as a player, or even a Redskin

I do know thing: I want to see a modern offense. If Rivera goes with a conservative style offense or hires "insiders" like Turner....he'll lose the fanbase really, really fast. Don't want to watch keep it close football that has a known endpoint every season. I don't care how bad the Skins have been been. The expectation is post-season play into the New Year and nothing less. You don't get there with offenses conceived 20-30 years ago.

Great. Change the culture. Enforce accountability. blah. blah. blah. If you do it with old concepts the outcomes will be predictable - always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

Real, innovative coaching. That's been the missing ingredient for years. Someone who out thinks, sometimes on the fly, the opposition. While Rivera faces many internal challenges, in the end, he has to win on the field against the other coaches/coaching staffs in the league. That remains my biggest concern at this point. I didn't see much that was creative in his Carolina offenses. I saw something that was a few degrees less predictable than what we endured in DC. His team, in the end, lost to our miserable 3-10 group of misfits.

Just a general sense. I'm not putting him at RG3 level but some of the shit he tweets gives me that impression. Lately it's been his ‘chiming in' on social media about wanting certain players and coaches. Hopefully he grows up some and clicks with Rivera and whoever ends up as QB coach and OC.
