Just wanted to let you guys know that something got the site flagged for phishing/malware. Maybe it was an advertiser or something? Either way, giving me a flag for being a Dangerous site.

Looks like Shi and I posted at the same time. I'm going to copy my post in here.

Any known issue with the site? Chrome is now reporting this as a dangerous site. I use AVG Free for virus scanning and it was flagging things on the site as soon as I told Chrome it was ok to load.

I had to turn off my virus scanner in order to load the site.

Not sure if it's relevant or not but almost every time I type bgobsession into the search bar this screen pops up... IMG_2901.jpg

Does anyone know if this page popping up indicates either a site or my computer having a virus? FWIW when this site page pops up I immediately backpage then retry with the correct BGO page loading properly. Friggin weird

We got a Google notification earlier today. We are checking on it. I don't know if someone's inserted some malicious code or if it's related to an arbitrary requirement Google is trying to impose on websites requiring a secure 'https://' SSL certificate. For the time being, I would use a browser other than Google Chrome to use the site while we investigate. I don't think anyone needs to worry about their security in that we don't require credit card info or anything like that here. We'll keep you posted.

Boone, I'm far from an expert in this, but given my virus checker was complaining as well, I'd guess it's something on the page. I've been looking to see if I can find something in the logs that might point in the right direction.

Yes - I am sure someone's hacked us. We are contacting our Hosting company who will have to help us track it down.

Russians?

Nah seriously that sucks ass if true

Testing ... testing

CHECK 1 ... CHECK 2

Sibilance ... sibilance

Opera giving the same message....for the other person out there who uses Opera.

All,

Our host's techs are hunting down/removing the malware, and installing a stronger firewall to reduce the chances of a repeat performance. Once that's done we'll grovel to the Google Gods to graciously get us off their bad hombres list asap.

We'll update as we go.

We do have our vendor and a security specialist working on cleaning up the site and improving our firewall guys. It's a process and we hope to have everything back to normal by mid-week. Thanks for your patience.

Whether it helps anyone in the interim IDK but while Chrome & Firefox flag BGO, Edge/Explorer doesn't see a problem. I almost never use those two and don't have anything saved, like passwords and such so maybe that's why it works but I don't get the false redirect.

Edge/Explorer are 2 of the least secure browsers available right now. Edge has been exposed badly lately. Only Safari is near as bad.

You want security, go with Chrome, but never take what Edge/IE (especially deprecated IE) says as worthwhile in that regard :D

We are still working on site security. Hopefully we will not have more issues/downtime but not making any promises.

Avast likes it. Firefox likes it. I like it. Life is good.

Now go and rip my mocks to shreds.

Many of our add ons are temporarily (we hope) disabled. We are working on that piece of it.
