Random Commanders Thoughts

Do you know what's going to suck?

If we have to choose between Pierre or Desean next season. I would hate to lose either.

If one has to go (and I'm not sure that's the case), it's Jackson imho, if only because he's got a successor in Crowder on the roster. Garcon is Mr. Reliable across the middle, and we don't have another WR (unless Doctson is able to get past the injury and proves to be the guy he was drafted to be) who fills that role.

You must be looking forward to the London game with glee then, as that will give you a modest start time of about 1230 am for you, huh

Hopefully we'll get the game on TV as well. The last England game was on so there's no reason why this shouldn't be on. If it is, that's where you'll find me. No need for GameCentre or a chatroom!

If both choose team over money, we keep both.

We make a deep playoff run, they may think about it. Otherwise, I can understand why a player will go for the money. Money lasts beyond their playing years.

ESPN shows the redskins moved up to 9 in newest power rankings I would hope we wouldn't be noticed but I guess we are getting noticed

Prisco moved us up to 10 in his power rankings. But then he has the Lions beating us, so ... I don't know what that means. :)

Ranking don't mean squat. Those folks ranking are just looking at the standings and best record goes up top, worst on bottom. Not rocket science. Everything in between top and bottom is local bias.

Skins have won 4 Dallas 5. Should have been the other way around then what would the rankers be saying? NFL rankings and college polls are bogus by definition.

Here's a good ranking.

PFF has our O-line ranked as the 4th best in the league, prior to the big performance against Philly.

I'd say we're top 2 or 3.

4. Washington Redskins (12)

Starters: LT Trent Williams, LG Shawn Lauvao, C Spencer Long, RG Brandon Scherff, RT Morgan Moses

Washington has had some injuries to contend with along an O-line that even saw them shuffle LT Trent Williams in to play guard mid-game, where he still preformed well. Williams has been back to his best at tackle, while Morgan Moses on the other side and RG Brandon Scherff have also played well. The other two spots have been less accomplished and in flux due to injuries, which is something that could hamper them over the season, but through four weeks, this has been one of the better units in the league.

Top 3 O-line, top 2 WRs, and top 3 CBs......that sounds like a serious contender for the SB.

Now we just need Cousins to get his head out of his arse and we'll be on our way.

The point Cooley was making that gets lost in the recount of the personnel transactions is that players who were on the bench or on the street have been coming in here and playing better than the guys that started out the season as regulars.

That's the crux of it.

Yes, We can argue that Ioannidis was on the practice squad before he was brought back to the 53 man roster.

But the point is on opening weekend of the season he was waived and on the street looking for work.

It's definitely been a good thing that they have a line that is almost completely revamped from the garbage we had 2 years ago. Ah, the days when we all had to deal with one good lineman in Williams...so much better now. Good thing they saw the need and addressed it.

Ok....some fans still question about using #5 on Scherff last year and moving him to guard....weird,I know.

If you like, no love, snot bubble football, you got to get on twitter and look at the GIFs being posted weekly of what is now becoming known as somebody getting "Scherffed."

Makes me giddy with joy watching these...

Owning Fletcher Cox isn't easy and taking Brandon Williams and tossing him like a bag of garbage into the dumpster is just awesome!

That's a bad man.

I don't know if this is bad reporting, or I'm missing something, but I can't find anything in this article to back up what the headline claims about Jordan Reed.

"Redskins’ Reed: Knew he had concussion, didn’t say anything"
Keim (I think) is also reporting the same thing but with quotes

"Nah, I mean that's their choice how they want to handle it," said Reed, who signed a contract extension in the spring that guaranteed him $22 million. "I have my own way to handle it."
One way of handling the situation was to be quiet after it occurred. Reed admitted he knew he had probably suffered a concussion after a third quarter hit vs. Baltimore in Week 5. He caught another pass two plays later., but he said he concealed it from coaches and doctors during the game.
"I kind of kept it to myself," Reed said "I had a pretty bad headache... I was feeling it throughout the game and kept playing. The next day I was feeling all right and then there were some exercises I started doing and I started to feel a little worse."

Washington Redskins Jordan Reed's history of concussion won't give reason to stop playing
