The Josh Doctson Thread

Anyone know if his particular injury can be corrected with surgery?

Surgery would never be an option unless the achilles had a serious partial or complete tear. According to what we currently know, this is a strained achilles (that means there may be some very minor microdamage to the tendon, but not a significant tear).

For that kind of injury, rest and therapy is what's called for.

That does, of course, assume we know all there is to know...

I think he will be shut down within the next couple of weeks or less. Achilles injuries are no joke and we need him to be ready in 2017.

Maybe. As long as they have space on the roster I think he stays, even if he doesn't play or practice. At least he's available for practice. He could still be at meetings in either case but maybe he hangs around unless they bring a guy back from IR.

I see Doctson going to IR and a NT being signed

Is there a NT available? Any chance they might Golston back off IR?

feelin' a bit randy, mate?

Bringing Golston back doesn't add anything to the defense. He is too small and frankly OLD to provide any real help inside at DT.

I agree that Doctson's season is most likely a wash and we might as wel put him on IR and sign another player who can add depth on defense.
