Scot's take on Alf going to the Cowboys
Redskins GM McCloughan on Morris: 'I wish it was outside the division' | CSN Mid-Atlantic
“You know what?” McCloughan said at the NFL owners meetings, “good for him. He’s got a home. I wish it was outside the division, but that’s okay.”
“We made a decision in-house, and it is what it is,” McCloughan added. “He’s a good football player. He’s a very good person. He’s had a good career. But, you know, the way the NFL works is you’re always trying to get better. You’re always trying to bring in younger [players]. And that’s part of the process. I hope he does a nice job—except against us twice a year.”
“It’s not about the individual, it’s about the 53," McCloughan said. "It’s my job to make sure that I’m doing whatever’s best—in my opinion—for the organization. We have a great personnel staff. We have a great coaching staff. The front office is phenomenal. We have to just keep striving to make sure that we identify what we want and what we need and understand the value of the player and go forward.”
