RG3 Development Tracker 2015

Boone, the bottom line is that what he was calling wasn't working. Change... SOMETHING. The plays, the players, something. But to keep throwing a guy out there who has shown he can't handle it is... well... insanity.

Truer words have never been spoken about this cat.

Football is the ultimate team game. There is a lot a QB can do to help the OL and vice versa. I don't see Griffin doing the little things to help the OL. He isn't sliding or moving in the pocket to create lanes. Griffin tends to hold onto the ball too long, plus I don't think the OL really knows where he his.

I saw the injury replay. It showed he had couple open safety valves. Couple people have said he sees the rush versus feeling the rush. One said he should have dumped the ball and got a few yards. Then punt and let D do its job. You learn to live for another series. Griffin is trying to be a playmaker and be on highlight reels. He needs to learn to manage the game.

I know Griffin is the starter and we have a lot invested in him. But...at some point you have to do what is best for the team. The object is win games versus keeping someone happy. The Redskins (top to bottom) need to remember the fans are the ones you need to keep happy. If the team is better with RG3 on the bench, then sit him down. If not, put him in there and let him take his lumps.

I am tired of the experiment. I want to see a competitive team that wins more than 3 or 4 games. Someone needs to put their big boy pants on and do what is best for the team and its fans.

Even if you're witnessing it not work? Would you be ok with morris getting hit over and over if he needed the practice?

Adjust, fix the line, come back to it.

and PART of that not working, was him. In the military, if you're not as good at shooting, you know what you'll be doing for training exercises? Shooting.

I never thought I'd say this, but... I now think that E has been correct in his analysis all along.

And that makes me sad. Bambi had more situational awareness.

6? coaches or more have already tried to help him. 2 HCs, 2 OCs, 2 QB coaches, plus Terry Shea and others.

When does he finally pick it up? Is the number 15 coaches? 20? When does reality start to sink in?

Ok, well use that analogy.

If you're not good at shooting you don't stick a soldier in to war and say "shoot everyone" and watch him get shot time after time after time. You put him I'm am environment where he can learn properly to shoot.

If he had been hit once, maybe twice I'd be cool with it. 6 times. 75%. This wasn't any lesson he could learn. Coach left him in there until he broke...what lesson is in that?

Then to see the very next guy get to scramble and run around? Well, I don't see any lesson for Griffin there either except your coach doesn't like you.

I think we all know what's about to happen. I'm sure we do.

His next injury is going to be severe. Like a broken back. That leaves us with two choices:

1. Continue to start him and gamble our entire 2016 season (and $16 million in cap) hoping that he doesn't get killed, and suddenly becomes an amazing QB. Get nothing in return if he gets injured.

2. Trade him right now. A 6th rounder works. A 7th rounder works. Absolutely nothing in return is better than losing all of 2016 too.

I can't believe this guy is still on the football team. Scot should be on the phone all weekend. This is about the easiest decision a team can ever make.

Then we can have colt come in and break his neck again!

Nah, no thanks. I'll stick with the kid we know can take it.

Exactly... Week 1 vs Miami is the war. The bullets count, the casualties count. Preseason is live fire training exercises.

Bro, exercises don't give you concussions and shoulder stingers. Especially after 5 serious hits prior to. Any and all instructors would stop it and regroup

If Griffin is put on the next stagecoach out of Dodge, Gruden should be sharing the ride.

Choice 1: Stick with the guy who has had 2 ACLs, a dislocated ankle and several concussions. Gamble our entire 2016 season that he not only stays healthy, but that he also becomes a good QB that any team would want to start.

Choice 2: Play the other guys. If they suck? Then start over again next year in the draft with a healthy QB.

Decisions literally don't get any easier than this.

This is where Scot either shows himself to be Vinny 2, or whether we know we really have something.

I'm clearly missing something. How is our entire 2016 season at risk?

Because someone thought picking up his option next year was a bright idea. That option ($16 million) is only guaranteed if RG3 suffers a season-ending injury this year.

If RG3 is seriously injured at the end of this season, not only is he gone, but we will have $16 million less to spend on the team in 2016.

Remember how hard it was to compete with the Mara cap hit? Same thing. We are now gambling our entire year next year--not just this year.

This is the easiest decision a person can ever make.

I want to say I heard that the only guarantee is if he can't pass a physical by May 1... and not necessarily guaranteed against ANY injury.

Always the extreme option. Sheesh.

I was more inferring about exposing yourself to your weakness while seemingly the games don't count. I'm not meaning to intentionally attempt to get him hurt, but the more chances he gets to develop a pocket presence, I think he needs the reps.
