Random Commanders Thoughts

1. He blocked better than any back during his time or since.

2. We weren't winning shit with anyone there anyways. He didn't disappear during the playoffs. He made it twice here and had almost 100 yards with a td in 05.

3. That is the worst argument ever made by you for getting rid of portis. Betts couldn't even stay healthy and we had nobody else behind him.

4. He had 4 years of over 1200 yards with us but I don't see that stat coming through.

5. He set a tone on the field that he would knock players out with his toughness.

6. He changed his style and build completely for this team.

Whatever you are smoking, please send it to me. I'll pay twice whatever you paid, plus shipping and handling.

I have no interest in trolling with you. Please don't quote me again if that's all you have to offer.

Why are we talking about FSU players to begin with? Anyone can argue that a college star will be an NFL star - it's a nice argument to make, because it can't be disproven :) I think your rating of Griffin, poor past two years or not (and his past two years weren't anywhere near as awful as some paint them to be), is ridiculous - particularly since whether or not a QB gets injured has nothing to do with his overall capability.

I find it interesting that after loudly predicting Gruden to be the second coming, you don't aim that laser sharp critique anywhere near his performance to date? If I'm being honest, I suspect you're subconsciously setting up Griffin to be the fall guy when/if Gruden should turn out a failure at head coach.

Then again, I might be pulling that out of my rear end - kind of like what you're doing with Griffin :)

I love the spirit Boone.

Deep down, we already know what the correct move was. Trade RG3, plus Morris (Scot drafted another in the third round....we think alike) and a second or third rounder for Jameis.

That's how we win. We didn't do that.

So now we are stuck in neutral until the QB situation plays out.

You never stop with it, do you?

The whole idea posed there is ridiculous - that you posit it as a viable, realistic option is even more patently ludicrous. The cost of a trade up you're suggesting would've been 2 or 3 times what you're pitching. Where do you even get this shit? Setting that aside, we just gave up 3 years worth of first rounders and your solution is to pitch that investment and double down on the next 'big thing' at the most difficult position to predict in football? Trust me - you and 'Scot' don't think anything alike...

Yes. That was the correct move.

It probably came from this guy. Because the movies is the only place something that outrageous would happen:

Last year Alfred Morris caught 17 passes.
In his college career Matt Jones caught 19 passes.

Why all the talk about Gruden installing Matt Jones as the "pass catching" RB in this offense?

The DC media is hilarious.

If Tampa would have traded the #1 overall pick for Griffin, Morris, and a second and third it would have been a no-brainer on our part. Problem with that scenario is this:

My cat wouldn't have made that trade.

To be fair, UF hasn't had a qb that could effectively throw a football since Meyer left.

Seriously, all those picks plus 2 big name players? Vinnie wouldn't come back just to make that trade. Matt Millen thinks that trade idea is stupid.

Crowder just had his skins photo shoot. I haven't heard a single word about the "incident" since it first came up. Anyone else?

You got that right. No college ball until bowl games actually. I just can't wrap my head around all this media hype in DC for Jones. I listen to podcasts of all the local shows during my weekly commute of almost 250miles. All I hear is how they love Matt Jones he's a better pass catcher blah blah blah. Heard Alfred Morris called "hands of stone" recently too. It's all made up until Jones is a starter... I have no reason to believe any of it until it's proven.

That's crazy money. 2nd highest paid WR in the league? Go Cowboys.

The Cowboys biggest problem in 2015 is that both the Redskins and Giants are going to be much better. I have zero idea what to expect from Philly, but the competition will be much tougher in the NFC East this year. That - and Romo will never win the big game.
