Burner's Burning Questions: Free Agency, The Mock Drafts, 2015 (Continual Updates)

305-310 is more like it.

Before last season he was rated as a non-priority free agent.

Must have really made some strides.

The page below is wild. It's the Walter 6th round grades. Granted, they may be totally off.

But they crap on our sixth round, then give teams drafting the exact same positions one or two after us grades of A.

And they loved our earlier rounds.

Either Scot really is a genius, or he may have whiffed in the 6th round. Or....he was just going for ST players.

I tend to think he knows more than WF.

Evan Spencer's brother is a scout for the Skins, so I can see how some would be critical of this pick

I can't believe we weren't interesmted in Anthony Harris of UVA at safety. Went to Vikings.

im ok with drafting special teamers, but not when we still have needs on starting 12's lol if we hadnt taken that running back we could have taken a guard who would start, i think that will bite us in the ass because that back has nfl bust written all over him. im still hoping im wrong though

Rumor is we just signed Commor Halliday QB Washington State

I read his history at WSU. Good arm, 6'4, but Jay Cutler confident of squeezing balls into tight coverage for INTs. System like most spreads didn't put an accent on protecting the qb - this guy took a real beating in school.

I wonder if he is recovered from the broken leg?

So I see that we just signed another huge RB, in addition to the Matt Jones pick.

McLovin and Gruden both seem to like the Frank Gore, serious power running attack over the traditional "take it to the house" type of 3rd down back.

Good Lord, you have to see this.

5'9 238 pounds. He's a human bowling ball. Ran for over 1,600 yards last season, although against questionable competition.

Highlight video below. For those with ADD, just watch the first play. It looks similar to that La'el Collins play I posted earlier.

Those almost look like High School highlights.

Is there another Antonio Pierce in that handful of UDFA's ?

And how long before a large number of Skins fans start clamoring for Connor Halliday to start ?

Perhaps it happened somewhere, the moment he was signed ?

If I understand another report right, we are at the 90 player limit which means we have to release someone for each UDFA signed.

If Halliday can play, I don't see both Cousins and McCoy making the team.

A team coming off 4-12 should not be paying its third string qb $1M plus.

I think unless he totally craps the bed in camp, Halliday is a lock for the practice squad. For one, his learning curve is going to be huge, and undertaken on the sparse regimen of snaps he'll get as a fourth string guy. Perhaps more importantly, it's hard to imagine Gruden would be inclined to head into 2015 with a UDFA rookie QB as his third option behind a presumed starter who tends to get hurt, and a second stringer chosen between a guy whose gray matter may or may not have recovered from Interception-gate last year, and another guy who, even at his best, has never been mistaken by anybody as anything beyond a journeyman.
