What's for Dinner?

Making a massive chuck roast with vegetables and mashed potatoes. It smells so good, I'm about ready to pull it out now. The only thing stopping me, is knowing from first hand experience that the pull out method never works ;)

Alright you crock pot warriors... was looking for something simple today and came across this one...

Hoisin Pork Roast

This is extremely simple. A little chopping and that's about it. Subbed some sriracha for the chili paste but otherwise stuck to the recipe. My family tore it up. I served the sliced pork over rice with a ladle of sauce over it and topped with some cilantro and green onion. Recommended - simple and delicious.

I'm in the thank you portion of the veggie Sriracha cookbook. My good friend wrote both of them.

Did a quick mini bowtie and shrimp with arugula pesto

Shepherd's Pie. Trying it with ground chicken and turkey ti make it a little more healthy. Smells great so far...

No pics sorry. It was great, used a beer/chicken broth base that was stewy and wonderful. It was delish, as the kids say.

It's been a while since I've had shepherds pie, your version sounds pretty good.

Going lazy with a giant can if dinty more beef stew over rice. Possibly some naan bread to dip as well.

My wife has made it a number of times with the turkey instead of ground beef or lamb. Then...she started using bison...Mmm!!

I can get ground bison here, but it has a gamey taste I always notice...even in chili...

We get an all-natural and it's a lil' sweet. Kinda reminds me a little of ground venison, but not nearly as sweet. It's a good compromise with Megan since she doesn't eat beef and the turkey is so bland.

Made a deep dish pizza tonight. Really good. Good sauce, crust was flaky and buttery, good mix of cheeses.

Goaldeje - props to you for always contributing to this thread. You are my kitchen brother!

I have been eating damn near nothing but tuna, canned salmon, chicken, salad, veggies and fruit for about 8 weeks now (with just an occasional 'normal meal' mixed in there). Today - giving myself a break and cooking steaks rubbed w/lots of chopped fresh garlic, and soaked in a marinade of soy sauce, balsamic, thyme, EVOO, salt, fresh ground pepper. Pairing with baked potatoes.

Later on, going to go out and light my first white trash firepit fire of the season, maybe play a little guitar, and drink some beer.

Tomorrow - back at the exercise/healthy eating thing.

Would be curious to see what the ingredient list is?

Marinating some drumsticks in lime-mojito marinade, then going to bbq them. Corn on the cob with.

They are vaguely secretive.
On the "Original" version, my bottle just says : Salt, Herbs and Spices, Dehydrated Onion, Dehydrated Garlic.

They also have come up with some other flavor versions, as you can see on the site. I havn't tried the others but I'm sure they're good, if the Original version is any indication.
