Do we have a defense remotely as good as that one? An OL even half as good as the one protecting him while they handed the ball off?
 
He said he can "never see it happening" as in it wouldn't matter when it was he couldn't do it. That's not even close to being fair or a legitimate statement.

IMO...the team with better talent lost. I'm more convinced of that today than I was immediately after the game!!!

IMO...again...the Pats didn't win it. The Hawks lost it.

Others can disagree...it's a free country...sorta!!!!
 
The pats did win it.

They had more points
They intercepted the ball to seal the game.

It may have been a bad call but it was a hell of a play by a rookie to intercept a slant route and seal the win.

Moral victories don't get you Lombardi trophies. And the score at the end says who the better team was where it mattered.

Come on now B, you know my point was that it's not just about the QB. I use Dilfer because of exactly what you'r saying. He was one of the least gifted QB's to ever play the game IMO, but he has that ring..... because he had what none of our QB's have had over the past three seasons, a quality team around him.

I am not going to say you can't have your own opinion. But like with climate change, vaccinations, evolution, and the Cowboys being perennial Super Bowl favorites, just because you want to have a dissonant opinion doesn't make it a valid one. The evidence is against the opinion. Opinions may vary, but all the concrete evidence says the opinion that the Seahawks were the better team is false.

Here's what I see now. It may no longer be available, at least not easily. The date was December 6th:

It was McFadden (Clark's teammate) saying that his "close friends" on the Redskins say the majority of the locker room hates him. That RG3 has a "God-like" complex, but that no one believes he's very good. He also goes on to report that he receives special treatment from Snyder, and that linemen don't even want to block for him.

I'll try to locate it again later. The interesting thing to me is that it kind of points the finger at Ryan Clark as one of the snitches last season.
 
Are you rehashing the old locker room drama that was shot down by the players themselves?

Also, why would Clark be talking ANY shit about talent on this team? He's been here 1 year and he sucked while here.

evidence? pls!!! as if this were a court of law with established processes for defining admissible argument and facts. I do appreciate the early morning humor - I needed that digitalis!

just get to what you are really saying "more people disagree than agree with you. majority rules." and that's fine. per the usual.....standing on the same lunch line as everyone else just doesn't rank that high on my priorities list. The Hawks had that game in hand and gave it away. They played flat when ahead and scored when they needed to when behind. The Pats were smarter, IMO. They were not, however, the better team. Again my opinion. in the end, what tripped the hawks was their football arrogance.
 
The Patriots took it away in the 4th Quarter - I really don't follow the logic in 'the Seahawks gave it away'.

It's unattractive to me that a number of folks can't give credit where credit is due because they don't 'like' a team.
 
Sorry Boone but that's just how many of us see it. The game was VERY close yet it's painted by many as a blowout and a corronoation of Tom Brady as the greatest QB ever. Pfffft, what a load of garbage. Pete Carrol doesn't have one of the biggest brain farts in SB history and the talk is all about how amazing and unbeatable and the new Dynasty the Seahawks are. Brady had 2 HORRIBLE picks yesterday but you'd think he broke records with the dink and dunk game he played. 1 yard, one play...too close for me to call it anything other than that; a close game that the Seahawks gave away.

And don't give me this nonsense that the scoreboard tells us who the better team was. Better teams lose all the time in every sport out there. It's why "Any Given Sunday" is such a ubiquitous cliche that transcends sports. I'll give the Patriots credit for winning the game and I'll give them credit for being the NFL Champs but asking me to forget how it went down or turn a blind eye to the fact that they are very fortunate their opponent had his worst moment at the the biggest time ain't gonna happen. Sorry, brotha, that would probably go for the Seahawks if they won too. Too many douchebags and cheaters on BOTH teams for me to get behind any kind of knob polishing afterwards.
 
What else tells you who the better team is then if not the score?

Yards gained?
Penalties?
Who wore it better?

If so we would have been a lot better than the 4-12 record we had.
 
OK Mike I'll play. So in 1991 the Cowboys were the better team when they beat us? The scoreboard said they were after all. It was one game. A big one but still one game and a close one at the end that the Pats were down in much of the time. They sure as hell weren't dominant being down by ten most of the 2nd half.
 
We're talking one game. And, yes, in that game they were.

We're talking one game here and in that game the pats were the better team. They played it just right and if Kearse doesn't get an extremely lucky catch they aren't even in range to throw an interception.

They weathered the storm and then Brady did what a better qb does and dropped 14 on them. He's done it plenty of times and he showed he can still do it.
