My life is in a really weird area professionally right now....


But my personal and family life have never felt better inside. My son does something new every day and I am still his favorite place to fall asleep.

I make sure I tell him a list of names of everyone who loves him every night while he's on my lap.

at 10:10 this morning my son came in to the world ass first and legs up around his ears. Since that day my life has done a 180. I find myself on the verge of losing my cool, loving him to death, pushing him further, wanting him to stay little forever....at least 10 times a day a piece. I love that ****ing boy as much as any man could love another human being.

Something else my wife just found out via Facebook...3 years ago today was the day we became friends on Facebook. Our dating anniversary is Feb 5th...but this is just pretty neat to add to a VERY special day.
 
Having my family home and whole again feels so good. The out pour of love and support has been amazing and I'm grateful for all of you who have been there for us.
 
My son now sleeps with his head on his mom's lap. His little brother started kicking this morning while he was doing it and he started laughing.
 
Finally had a surgery on my neck that Ive been mulling over for quite a while now. Friday am I had two disks removed and replaced with artificial disks and in between these two I had a fusion (3 levels total) All through a 1.5" slit in my throat. Unbelievable wass both the amount of work done with little to no blood loss and the fact that I walked around the block on friday night! I still have a long way to go but so far so good, nerve pains in arms and hands have all but dissapeared and Im optimistic about my health for the first time in a long long time!
 
That's awesome DM - they are doing some pretty impressive stuff with minimally invasive procedures these days. Glad to hear you are having a good experience!
 
Started my new job the Monday before last. It's a huge Biotech company and its really cool. I've got my own desk, phone set up, access to labs...and the training you had to go through to get it is amazing.
 
You're good as long as that company doesn't initiate a "walker" incident. Seriously tho glad you like it.

Woke up today and counted my blessings. You notice you have a shitload more things to be thankful for when you stop to look around.
 
Maybe you can come over, help me study, and take your shirt off for every question I get correct?

I love my sons to death. They make my old grinch heart beat and fill with love.
 
I am blessed beyond measure! My children are healthy and happy. My wife is absolutely amazing! I have a good job that might even be opening a new path. And I am a great looking guy. But news about my son makes me feel pretty good.

A friend of my wife's is a retired elementary school teacher/administrator. She told my wife that our son is extremely advanced. That seems like a subjective statement, but it is a testament to his mother. We have been lucky enough for her to be a stay at home mom and I feel it has been invaluable to his development.

Anyway, today is a good day!
 
Jr leaves in two days for his drive out here.

All 3 sons under one roof. I am as nervous as a Farmer John's pig the week before Easter!
