Random Commanders Thoughts

He said no decisions, other than Haslett, have been made yet.

So, there were few answers available, at this time.

Which words are you guys struggling with?

And if more heads don't roll, I won't like it either.

But I'll wait until a decision is actually made, before I critique it much.

And, if no one is fired in the FO? You gonna give it another season?
Give it another season?

If Dan Snyder turned over operations to YOU, I'd still be here until I die. (Unless they change the name, maybe)

And I don't know, neither do you, what the FO needs. Firing? Hiring? Reshuffling?

I may be the only one, but I put 100% of the draft results during Shammy's tenure, on Shammy. He had final say. His track record in Denver appears to match his time here.

I choose to take Allen at his word, that last year was the first time in Snyder's tenure, that the scouting dept was listened to. Early grade is weak, for sure. If Long and Moses pan out, it will have been a very good draft. Only fair to let it play out before closing the door, IMO.

And yes, opinions are what we do here. But they don't trump fact.

Well, his sack rate may also have been helped by him throwing the ball whether WRs were open or not :) downside is a bunch of INTs.

In general I'd say I agree with much of this but the scouting department hasn't really changed in 14 years so that to me is plenty of time to decide to move on. Even without Shanny's tenure they haven't done anything remarkably positive. I'd say that's the first place to cut bait next, along with maybe Foerster and didn't someone say Morris was seen ducking out with his duffle bag and a big frowny face?

Haslett was easy. His contract was up and fans had an unfavorable view of him. His dismissal also takes some of the pressure off of the rest of the people at Redskins Park after the conclusion of a 4-12 campaign.

Do I like change? In theory, yes. If the change turns out to be Raheem Morris and more of what we have seen, then no.

In those years, it was clearly Snyderatto calling the shots. Who knows what might have happened if they were indeed listened to.

I don't know.

Well, it's easy to see that something is dreadfully wrong with the organization. Let's not forget that Shanny's hiring was Dan and Allen's doing. Nice to see you giving them a pass on that, though.

I also see organizations turn it around in two, three and sometimes one year. Hell, the pukes have gotten better while we continue to flounder.

Re-treads and college coaches don't seem to be working. Our talent office hasn't changed in over a decade. Oh, and the owner hasn't gotten us to any SBs in his tenure.

All I know is that what has been going on in DC isn't working.
You'll be miserable when things get turned around.

When is that going to be? I was 34 when Snyder bought the team and I am 49 now.

2 playoff wins in 15 years. Talk about the cupboard being bare.

Some teams have built up a champion, torn it down, rebuilt and come back with another contender in the time it has taken Dan Snyder to realize he needed to name a GM, despite the fact he is more a capologist than a scout.

He's miserable because we are terrible -again. Just like a lot of us are.

Honest question, if Rivera, Wade, & Olivotti fall through what would you think of Singletary as DC?

No, he's in the Rex Ryan category of circus tent performer.

There are enough people with their hands on the tiller who bring too much drama we don't need any others.

True, it'd be nice to go one season with minimal drama.

Along with the ones I mentioned earlier was wondering if Bruce gave the 49ers DC Fangio a call yet? Seems pretty legit if interested in a lateral move.

San Francisco 49ers: Vic Fangio

So, Snyder is a devil, stealing Tooth Fairy money from poor children.
Allen is an incompetent, lying mother ****er.
The scouting dept couldn't spot their own eyelids.
Our coaches suck.
Our players suck.
It's never going to change.
And we're doomed to a life of failure as fans.

And we apparently are hell bent on repeating this, all day, every day, for the foreseeable future.

Swell.

Well...that about sums it up, except for the no hope part. If there was no hope, I wouldn't be around. Unless there is a name change, there is hope. That happens, I am done, foh' reelz!

After that press conference yesterday, I don't see how Bruce can possibly stay in this organization any longer--in any capcacity. I'm a little shocked that he hasn't already resigned.

I was also just about to type that I would now expect a few of the better players on the team to ask to be traded immediately, but it looks like Bruce may have gotten a reality check yesterday:

Adam Schefter: Redskins setting up DC interviews with 49ers DC Vic Fangio, 49ers DB coach Ed Donatell and SD LB coach Joe Berry per sources.

But maybe he hasn't learned.........

Redskins also interviewing Joe Barry for DC. Another ex-Buc under Bruce Allen.

I am a redskins fan until the end. No amount of mud slinging or trash talking (even amongst our own) will drive me from this team.

While Allen may not be Allen GM he's a hell of a rep and ambassador for this team.

Tr1..I'm definitely not getting in to a mud slinging contest with you. He is a great ambassador for the team, shows up at all tailgates to say hi, and has brought back tradition as far as family goes within the team.

I didn't say he was a GM but he has a place on this team.
