This article is pretty spot on in my opinion comparing Gruden's comments about McCoy vs RGIII. Also, what would the media firestorm be if Robert said the same thing McCoy just did?

This is something that was pretty clear from the minute I saw the presser. He's giving McCoy a free ride straight up.

In all seriousness, I shared an experience I had with a former front office personnel for the Redskins and the reaction I get is Vinny is the devil and anything he says is moot. I have been accused of a lack of objectivity before, but my gawd! His statement supports what many truly believe and you guys want to act like it doesn't matter, because it's Vinny.

His statement supports reoprts that came out when Allen was hired, great P.R. guy, not the greatest talent evaluator. His statement supports what many on this site have said. His statement supports what seems to be playing out before our very eyes. But it's Vinny so it doesn't matter?

I cannot believe I find myself supporting that douche bag, bu the reaction I see from many as a result of sharing my experience is rather juvenile, at best.

Vinny is a douche, but Bruce Allen has not been decidedly better. Why no animus for him? Does his name give him a pass?

No pass in my book. And though I can't stand Vinny, he's right about Bruce. He's a contract / cap wizz, but has never been know for his talent evaluation. Can't speak for his time with the Raiders, but I saw and heard enough while he was with Tampa, to side with Vinny.

The only thing that would send me over the edge would be if they signed Art Briles. The coach with no playbook.

I gotta confess, I hope they blow the whole damn thing up from top to bottom. They've beaten whatever patience I have right out of me. It's not really that I can't be patient, it's that I don't see even a hint of promise that Allen, Gruden, Haslett, or anyone else currently associated with this franchise has a clue how to win. I just don't.

I know people are upset right now, but Art Briles would be a hysterical choice.

We already have a GM who doesn't evaluate collegiate talent. Why not add a coach with no playbook?

If you think people laugh at our team now, they would party for weeks if we hired Art Briles.

Has anyone here heard the name Nick Florence yet? No?

Nick Florence succeded RG3. Better stats than RG3 had when he won the Heisman.

Do you know what NFL team Nick will play for? None.

Just like every other QB in history prior to RG3 in that conference, they are all jokes that never succeed in the NFL.

The QBs can't read defenses in that conference. And the coach has no playbook.

If Mike Shanahan could only win three games here last year, I'm going to take a wild guess that Art Briles wouldn't do better.

And what does that have to do with hiring a coach with no playbook?

What team says "you know what? Let's hire the guy with no playbook, who has no idea how to even teach a QB what an NFL defense looks like?"

Anyone but that disaster. Even Jim Zorn who had no playbook could at least tell a QB what to look for at the pro level. Art Briles, lol.

I mean if we want Dan to finally give in and sell the team, then I'm all for Art Briles. Bring him in right now. It would be incredible.

You're pushing that no play book thing like it's legit. He has a play book. You may think it's basic or too simple..but he has one.

And it also has to do with the fact that you have a bad track record of screaming for who should coach the team. I'm going to stop after this but you clamored for gruden and told us all in depth for weeks on end about how great he was going to be. About what a great qb coach he was.

Well we have 3 sub par qbs now suddenly and a team who fears having a personal life due to him.

Well, as much as I think Gruden's first year, by his own hand, has been a cluster**** on steroids, at some point, continuity needs to settle in on this franchise. The revolving door of coaches is the #1 cause of the majority of what goes wrong around here. Unless something happens over the next 3 games to change my mind, I say Gruden returns for year 2 of his 5 year contract. Obviously, other changes need to take place as well.

Which we will all discuss in the coming offseason.

Everybody here,at one time or another, has stated how bad this roster sucks.

Do we have talent? Yep, but we don't have talent where it matters the most....up front.

IMO , if Jay overhauls his staff and gets some help Line-wise, I'd like to see what he could do...just for the hell of it.

I agree. The problem is, we don't know how much is unfixable suck, and how much is just getting out the gates, really, really bad.

The patience of this fan base, at times, is worse than that of the Evil Dan Snyder.

In retrospect, it was wrong for Jay to try and run someone else's running game.

He needs to switch to a power running game. Which will require 4 new starters on the oline. But we need to do it.
