Random Commanders Thoughts

I have noticed that you take every opportunity to post anything even remotely negative about RG3 McD5. If it's not something about drama behind the scenes, it's talking about drafting his replacement. I think he deserves better than that if I'm being honest. You are obviously free to post whatever you want (and obviously, this appears to be factual) but I wish I understood why more Redskins fans are not rooting harder for the guy who gave us the most exciting Redskins season in 20 years, and who, if he were really more selfish (ie...didn't take unnecessary hits and a willingness to play hurt) would probably be a lot further along than he currently is.

Then Garcon gets shipped out. We should be able to get a 2-3 for him, he's still young.

As for what Keim says, you seem to be suggesting that these complaints about Griffin are merited because Keim hasn't given a glowing review of Griffin's practices? Sorry man, I like you, but that's an insane viewpoint, if representative of what you think. Griff looked just fine in the game last week; in fact, what I can't figure out is that he actually hit DeSean in stride, where Colt and Kirk both have underthrown him several times. DeSean still made the adjustment in space to make the catch, but I would think a WR would rather be hit in stride than adjust.

As a side note, I am lost as to what Griffin has to do to get the unconditional support from the fanbase? It perplexes me. Do people seriously think that Colt or Kirk is a better QB than Griff? If so, get your eyes checked. If not, WTF? Griff gives us a better chance to win than any of the others. If you want to argue that Griff isn't our long term QB because of injury concerns, I guess I could understand that. But why pick at the guy incessantly? He's the best QB we've had in Burgundy and Gold in a LONG time, but you would think he couldn't be trusted to put pen to paper.

I really don't get it.

Beat me to it. Nicely said.

Gentlemen, thank you for saying what I don't have the tact to.

:*Not sure why people ask for the truth, I've always been as honest as possible. In this case, I wish I had a good answer, but I really don't. And, honestly, Garcon doesn't have a good answer, either, from what I've heard. He's still leading the team in receptions, but he's a non-factor in some situations, like third down. That surprises me --*and frustrates him. I did ask one coach about this and they want to get him the ball more; in two of the past three games there's a reason he gets the first pass. But the other answer from a coach was that*DeSean Jackson*is tough for them to go away from in certain times. Garcon is an emotional, passionate player who doesn't always hide his frustration well. I'll be curious to see how this develops.

Keim on Garcon.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that doesn't say Garcon would rather have Colt, was there something else he said that did?

Garcon's role is going to be Monk-ish, imo. Move the chains, go over the middle, and occasionally get the chance to break a long one. DeSean is a game-changer, better than anyone could have hoped for. A good team has both roles filled by talented WRs. Garcon has thrived with Griffin the past two years, and now he has to share a little with DeSean's arrival. He'll get over it. Or he won't, and he'll be gone.

I don't think Gruden will mess around too much.

Boone, I support RG3 100%. I believe he's clearly our best option.

If anything, I'm more pissed at Desean for airing out this dirty laundry in public. What was he thinking?

And the divas that don't like our QB should be shipped out tomorrow.

Wait...you have said you want Winston here 1000 times. You just said yesterday you hope he lands here.

I think in DeSean's mind, he was supporting Griffin. Maybe not the smartest move, but I don't see anything but good intention behind it. Garcon is the player who needs to shut his diva yap up. Get open more. Stop dropping passes. Your stats will improve.

All this drama...

He said this..that guy said that.

I'm tired of all that garbage.

I subscribe to the Red Auerbach method of coaching: " The best thing to do is just win"- Red Auerbach.

Maybe if everyone in that locker room focused on just that, instead of whining all the time, this team would be more pleasant to watch.

I would take Winston in a second. Either as a starter or backup insurance policy to RG3. We better have a good insurance plan for him going forward due to injury concerns. Of course I'd take him.

I also believe that if two players have roughly the same current talent level, and one has had two knee surgeries, that 99% of GMs would prefer the healthy player. That's just common sense.

It's also obvious that we have to play RG3 the rest of the year to see what we have. The players have to know that. So I have no idea why some of them are bitching. It doesn't make sense.

Yes. We know. If we draft Jameis, I'll die a little more inside.

It's all moot anyway. Griff is going to start looking better and better and improve our record so much that some idiot will take Winston before we would be able.

Which is fine by me.

I'm trying hard to moderate myself. I guess I will have failed to some degree if I end up posting this. It'll also take me so long to complete my thoughts that many other people will have already said it so much better than I ever could, but oh well. I'm extremely pissed at this continual gossip bullshit. "This player said that some players said that ..." is just a bunch of crap.

Of course players say things about each other. They're no more intelligent than your average poster on a message board. Every damn team has players with opinions. They state their opinions. That does not make those opinions an issue. Do you really think that most teams have 100% of their players behind their current starting quarterback? What are the players opinions about the offensive line? How about the defensive coaching staff? Do you think maybe there's an opinion there and elsewhere too? Why is that not an issue? The same crap could be reported about most other teams and many players on each team, but it's not. The media focus on Griffin is an agenda, plain and simple.

I'll also add that the respect that some of these writers have genuinely earned can and will be lost if they continue to play the source and rumor game. Schefter's clearly gone off the deep end. Who's next?

Because he knows its not drama and that it doesn't mean a damn thing.

Who would expect much different from Desean Jackson than to voice his opinion or address the media in such a manner? Let me say, I am glad we signed him. He brought a dimension to this offense Moss could no longer provide, and has done it as well, if not better. If we can put together a solid OL, this offense could be great with just about any solid QB.

As for rumor/fact and whether there is dissent among the ranks...I agree, it's a cancer! Cut...it...out!

Oh and I find it interesting that people discount certain sources here, but in other threads or other social media, they use that same media as their source material to condemn others.

Good week to lay low again... back to life . This team and their drama can wait till next sunday. Hope yall are well.

It's nice to see another team not us completely collapse on national television.

You are tired of the drama and want it to remain behind closed doors, but you would take Jameis Winston? That guy is all drama. Sexual assaults, stealing, yelling obscenities in the cafeteria, taking money illegally for autographs, and now an investigation into point shaving. That's all that we know about in public, and not what is kept behind closed doors. There is no way that clown comes to this team and it gets better. The Redskins need to find guys with character to improve the atmosphere, not bring in guys with no character.

I'm sorry, but there's NO WAY I want Winston wearing the B&G. Your FSU bias is really showing thru. He is a headcase & too immature. We don't need that kind of trouble here.

And your claim to him being a backup...? I don't think even you believe the crap your shoveling right now. You know as well as anyone that he isn't going to settle for being someone's backup & that would only bring controversy to the Redskins.

C'mon man. Use your head. Jameis Winston does NOT belong in a Redskins uniform. And I can't imagine that the Redskins are looking to draft another QB high in the Draft just so he can backup the last QB they drafted high in the Draft.

Look for Winston to go to either the Raiders, the Jags or the Jets.
