Random Commanders Thoughts

One of the owners of the company I work for gave these to me today, Super Bowl programs from when we beat the dolphins, and when we lost to the raiders. Pretty damn cool!

Since Lanky's departure there hasn't seemed to be a lot of useless stats thrown around here..... I keed I keed.....

The Washington Redskins are the ONLY TEAM IN THE NFL ranked in the top 5 in total offense AND total defense...

lol of course the negative. We got beat by the Texans week 1 with a brand new offense, a 27 year old OC, a developing QB, and we were facing the best defensive player in the game. We lost on a blocked punt. We then boat raced the team we were supposed to be compared to, and hung with the team who was supposed to run away with the division (and some say the NFC). Sure were 1 - 2... but we're developing an identity. We have a back up QB, 17 people listed on the injury report, and were coming off one of the best offensive days we've ever seen as a franchise. The winning will come... it's not far way.

No need to be so dismissive. I'm pretty much never going all negative. I'm just sad that with that stat line we still haven't won the games.

Don't be so reactionary, my good sir. Too much of it with the negative/postive thing lately.

Wasn't being dismissive.... just looking at the positive spin, and pointing out that in those 2 losses, it can be seen as to why.

I'm sure I probably already know the answer, but when the refs mess up this bad and literally change the outcome of the game, is there anything that the league does to make up for it or is it what I believe to be the case of them saying "tough noogies, suck it up and deal with our mistake"?
 
Nope. The refs will just get graded down a bit. Might impact their chances of being selected for playoff games.

Bad refereeing costs teams games every week. Fact of life in an NFL that made $9 billion last year but can't shake loose the funds to hire, train and hold accountable full-time professional referees.

Tough noogies, suck it up, & deal with it...& pray we don't send that same officiating crew to do your next game.
 
I remember James Brown ripping in to his ASS for calling him a thug when he was WAY off base with it. I was applauding from the bar and to this day I hate Wilbon.

I also remember someone taking the speech Wilbon delivered and changing it to about cheeseburgers and being a fat POS when he had his heart attack. That was one of the best parodies I have ever seen.

Wow... Just looked it up. I was out of the country and either missed Wilbon's comments or blocked it from my memory. I had heard Cowturd's. I never liked Wilbon anyway. This just cements it.
 
Thursday night football against the Giants.... Goddammit. I bought the GF concert tickets over the summer without checking the date now I get to go too. Yay! See yall in a few days.
