It's always hard to imagine a sixth round pick immediately becoming the starter. After all, the sixth round pick only played in preseason games, mainly against scrubs. Who can put any stock into that? Thank God Morris became the starter. We were guessing on him too.
It's expected that people have the same feelings about Redd.

Was it? Helu was hurt and we needed him to start. He did well when he did so he got another start.

Besides which the fundamental flaw in your argument is trading a RB will not get you what it would have even 3 years ago. Trent Richardson slammed that door shut, imo. Morris is worth more than the 4th we would be lucky to get for him.
Be happy Al is our RB. If he gets hurt and Redd tears it up, I KNOW I'll be thrilled. Redd has proven nothing at this point. NOTHING. Al is probably a top 5 back in the league. Forgive me for not falling head over heals for the new, unproven guy who hasn't done anything to warrant this trust.
Al is exactly the type of player and perso. I can be proud to have on my team. He works his ass off, doesn't produce problems, and chews up yardage in huge swaths. Preseason means NOTHING. Nothing. Al has done it when it counts. A lot.

When your starters blows his Achilles it goes from gamble to necessity in my eyes.

If I hear trade and Morris in the same sentence again, someone is getting booted. Call it 'executive privilege'![]()

Seahawks released Eric Winston, who some thought could start for them at RT.
