ESPN: Shanahan was ready to quit in '12

At this point the only real option Snyder has is to let Shanahan coach out the season. They both need to end this relationship as amicably as possible...for both of their futures. If nothing else, let Mike resign and Kyle can coach out the rest of the season so they can all save face.

That's just on the first page of the thread. This board is not full of blind homers and it's not fair to constantly suggest otherwise.

I was against the Shanahan hiring when it happened. (Seemed like business as usual to me)

And then became a Shanahan supporter over the course of last year. (I even apologized to him in my blognostication last year)

And I supported him and his staff through like the first 10 weeks of the season.

Now I want him gone so he can quit sniping at our QB.

What does that make me? Probably a homer :\

I suppose my opinion changes with the direction of the wind ;)

From BGOSPN - Website sources report that there is a serious rift between Henry and Elephant. Sources say that Elephant was prepared to have Henry knee-capped, for not coming out in support of El's gubernatorial ambitions.

Griffin and Morris helped put lipstick on a pig in 2012.

The defense was atrocious for much of last season and is again this year.

Special teams are worse but other than Forbath they weren't very good in 2012.

The OL is much the same. Yards per carry look good because of Griffin's rushing yards but Morris running the conventional plays still gets most of his yards on his own.

In re coaching, weren't the Redskins one of the most heavily penalized teams in 2012 as well as 2013?

See my point?

Griffin getting injured against Seattle exposed how little Shanahan had done to improve various units on the team in the preceding 3 years.

For others, the association is "circus". Which brings us back to depression.
 
Well, to carry the analogy, Shanahan's teams have for the most part been very poorly trained elephants and bears under the Big Top
