Official Gameday Thread: 49ers @ Redskins Monday Night!

Griffin deserves a medal for not punching Polumbus right in the ****ing mouth.

I would sit Griffin for the rest of the season. He won't survive the year if they keep putting him out there. It's Cousins turn to blow out his ACL.

This is what Polumbus looked like all night. Brooks made him look so ****ing stupid. A lot of the play was right in front of me so I have many images of TurnsTyler getting abused by Brooks.

Here is one of Brooks blowing up a RT who outweighs him by ~ 50-60 pounds!

This one just shows how stupid he looks...

And another just for good measure.

One of the hardest games to watch all the way through. This was the only game I watched all the way through. All I know is that those without cable didnt see this game....

But Griffin gets no pass. He was terrible...absolutely terrible tonight! Doesn't help when you OL is giving you no chance, but when you have a clear pocket to pass, you don't try to get a streaking Aldrick Robinson the ball throwing it like this...

As he was throwing it, I could not help but think..."WTF?" How does he think he is going to hit his target throwing like that.

This was his reaction after that piss poor throw...

Look at his body language. He is a shell of his rookie year. He has absolutely no confidence. I am reminded of poor Patrick Ramsey.

I stuck around after the game a few minutes to watch the reactions of the players and Griffin looked lost! I swear it looked like he was searching for a microphone and there was none around for him. He looked dejected...it was kinda sad.

The only player that made me feel good after the game was D-Hall and this moment...

I was pounding the dump Hall drum after the Falcons game last year, but what I have seen from him this year makes me glad he's around. He really is a bright spot on this team...not on the field so much as the way he is with the fans. I was unable to snap off a pic since he caught me by surprise, but he took the time to stop for a couple of veterans before the game to shake their hands and thank them. Those guys were very impressed that he would take the time as the other players were being introduced, to thank them.

In all fairness, if Aldrick does not break his route for a split second, Griff hits him in stride.

interesting comment. I don't particularly agree with it, but wild:

Just talked to #Niners Ahmad Brooks, asked for his thoughts on #RG3. "He shouldn't be playing, everybody can see it." #RedskinsTalk

Everyone except Shanahan.

The best party about this sh!tstain of a season is that the Rams are picking first in April. Boo!

Just another reason he needs to go. However, putting Cousins in with out dog**** line and sorry receivers won't help either

If griffin shouldn't be out there the only person it's on is him.

Wrong. Shanahan is the head coach, the guy who makes those calls. If Shanahan says he doesn't play, he doesn't play.

OK, you guys had the benefit of seeing replays of the poor throw by Griffin, it looked like he sailed it over Robinson's head about 6-8 yards. As for the 2nd pass to Robinson, that was a step behind. If he lays it out there for Robinson to run under it, Rogers doesn't have the time to catch up and break it up.

Shannahan aptly demonstrated last year that he defers to RGIII on these decisions. Part of the problem with this team

On the first one, it looked like Robinson gave up on the route. He slowed down for a couple steps, then sped back up when he realized Griffin had thrown it. If he maintained full speed, he would have at least been able to get a hand on it.

On the second one, he didn't even catch it cleanly (what else is new). It went through his hands and hit him square in the facemask, making it easy for Rogers to break it up. It was definitely underthrown, but also a bad catch.

Oh, it must have been Shanahan that spent all offseason talking about how he was going to be ready for week 1.

You act like it was even remotely possible for Shanahan to make that call. You, and most of the redskins fans, would have had his head if he sat Griffin after Griffin went on his offseason campaign and you know it.

There was a small group of fans that said he shouldn't be starting at the start of the season and they were ridiculed for thinking that.

How easily all that occurred in August is forgotten.

Huh? He had a couple steps on him. He gave up on the route, plain and simple - cut him now.

What I saw was tight coverage on him till he did the little stop and go, which gave him about two steps on the defender and put the ball too far ahead to catch. But hey, lets cut them all. Though, we do need to keep Hank, as he's been available for part of each season he been on the roster.

Shanahan does need to explain why he is paying Morgan $5M and Davis $2.5M to basically sit on the bench and watch.
It would be cheaper to simply buy them game tickets.

He had a step on him at least, from what I saw. If he kept running, he'd have caught the ball and possibly scored. The "stop n go" as you call it was him giving up on the route in my opinion. I guess we'll never know.

The facemask catch, one that Carlos Rogers can always appreciate himself.
