Davis has barely been on the roster the first two weeks. This is a paper loss only.

From the comments earlier in the week, so much for Davis bearing down and focusing on performing at a high level in practice and games to garner a new contract next year.

He simply doesn't have what it takes.

Last season was all about setting the ball down,inviting us all to come kick it.

This season has been all about pulling the ball away at the last minute,sending the fanbase flying through the air only to land flat on their collective backs,where we've been for the last 20 yrs.

I wish we could look back once we start winning again at those who are "all in" and "amazing fans" and just point out to them how blatantly down they were on the team and make them understand that in order to claim all the good they need to put up with the bad.

Mike, I'll keep saying this...everyone is different. For some, supporting the Skins and believing they'll turn it around 'no matter what' is their coping mechanism. Others lower their expectations drastically - it's a form of self-preservation. I don't think one approach makes anyone a 'better fan' or a 'lesser one'. This team will either rise up as it did last year or it won't. How individual fans deal with what happens really has no impact on things.

Everyone is disappointed and looking for someone to blame. I don't think the fans are really the problem though.

This place is not immune to the same fan on fan crime witnessed at the game yesterday. There's only one rule in being a fan.... love your team. Everything else just doesn't matter. I love my only brother on this earth, but when he's an asshat you can be GD right that I'm gonna call him on it.

We all don't need to conform to each other's definition of fan, we are bonded by our love of the team, that should be enough.

Fans have actually been fairly patient here. Hall and Wilson have been out there flailing away for better than two years and safety has been an open sewer hole since Sean Taylor passed.

And that was in 2007.

That's seven years of watching mediocre to sub-standard play.

I don't trash the team unnecessarily but the one thing I get tired of is seeing the same holes and weaknesses year after year without adequate resolution.

Even with the signing of Josh Morgan and the drafting of Hankerson and Robinson we still lack a quality second receiver for the umpteenth season.

The safety position was a mess three coaches ago.

These corners have been burnt toast for quite a while.

I understand the team has made moves of one type or another in each case but all have failed to improve things measurably.
