The QBs that keep popping up are Bridgewater, Boyd, and Manziel. I don't see any of them being in the same class as the 2012 QBs and that includes Tannehill, imho. The Browns may not need to trade a second first rounder to get one of these QBs and could use that pick for another need.

Just my $0.02.

Could they be going after McCarron?
 
The Browns are a mess. Brandon Weeden was not a first round pick, not given the fact he was going to be a 29 year old rookie and looked to have as long a lead time to develop as Griffin, Luck and the other 22 year olds that were coming out.

Richardson doesn't fit the current offense, that much may be true. But at the same time does a team heading to 2-14 or 3-13 really need the luxury of a running back that carries such a high cap number long-term?

Banner knows the mess in front of him and wants to start fresh in 2014. The extra first rounder will help him do that.

This is what a good personnel guy does. He admits mistakes, gets what he can in return to help the team in the future, and moves on.

Other teams (Redskins with Haynesworth) keep a guy around and refuse to trade him for a period of time and end up having to dump him later for much less of a return.

I don't think he grades out any higher than a third rounder.

In related news, Browns fans are seeking to trade Joe Banner and Michael Lombardi for just about anything, lol. Maybe we can work out a trade with the Browns - Fred for Jordan Cameron. Offer a sixth rounder for Mitchell Schwartz. Hey, with the Browns, you never know.
 
I hate when the team does poorly. It leaves me with few talk radio options because I have already avoided political talk and now sports talk is unbearable as well.
 
Norv now has Hoyer and ancient running back Willis McGahee as his skill guys.

Let's see him make lemonade out of those lemons.

hang in there. this season is mostly lost...IMO.....but there will be highlights and we can still perform respectably. next year the breaks imposed by Mara/Goodell are gone and we can make some real moves.....and fix this scary bad secondary/slightly above average O-line.
 
Anyone here gong to be at the game mañana? I'll be going over to the es tailgate if anyone else is so inclined. May even have a ticket if anyone is on the fence.
