How many of these cuts are salary cap related? I read where we may still need to redo some contracts to get under the cap. I believe to salary cap includes the 53 + IR + Practice squad. Not sure how suspended players fit into the cap.
 
None are salary cap issues. We have two roster exemptions with Jarvis Jenkins and Rob Jackson. Mo Hurt could be another roster exemption if he goes to PUP (widely expected).

Two cuts to go...

Jordan Pugh
 
Hearing a lot of chatter that the Giants will pounce all over White and/or Royster if they are released. Coughlin is trying his best to learn how to stop the ZR.

Keim is surprised Chase was cut.

Staff thinks Chase needs to improve in off man coverage.

Worried about knee health with all the surgeries he's had.

His "off man" refers to off man coverage, or zone play. One idea was floated this morning by another person that Chase was fantastic in man and bump and run, but not so great in zone coverage.
 
How does picking up an offensive player from a ZR offense help a team stop it? It's not like it's magic.

The #Redskins per multiple sources are very much still considering keeping Pat White on 53 man roster. This is getting interesting.
 
Rich Tandler is reporting the Skins are seriously considering keeping White. As Brian Mitchell said, "White would be ideal to run scout team this week. He would be good at playing Vick to give our D a good look."

Could Rex finally be cut? Traded? Moves to a coaching slot?
 
Just saw elsewhere that we cut Grossman and White and then claimed Teebow on waivers. LMAO

So we are hoping for one year of a Shawn Springs level, in exchange for a career of Minnifield.
