First of all, thank you for the invite Om. From my many years of lurking, I do recognize most everyone's names. You're a great crowd and I'm looking forward to discussions like those in the early days of ES.

Hey everyone,
My name's Katie and I've been a 'Skins fan since they I was born, even though I was born, rasied, and still live in Cali. I didn't have a choice, it was either cheer for the 'Skins or live on the street... I was the best ultimatum I've ever been given ;)

My parents' grew up with season tickets to RFK. They went on lots of high school and college dates at the games. When they moved out west and had all their kids, they were determined to instill Redskins pride (or sickness) in all of us: it worked for 2/3 of us (my little sister doesn't really care about any sport).

Anyway, that's my 'Skins story. :)

By the way, nice work guys, I'm really excited about this site!

Likewise, I am glad to be a member of this site that some of my best friends created... The only thing its missing to make me feel at home is a skin with a black background :)

Wonderful to see you here as well, Sarge! Cant wait to collaborate on some Obabanations with you :) l, I suspect we will have to be far more collegial here than on the old 'Tailgate'....(thank goodness)

Great to be among some old and new friends here, guys... Please dont take my likely lack of threads/replies here (and elsewhere) as a lack of interest or of time spent reading the great articles that you all write. Five kids 5 years old and younger take nearly all of my free time now... not to mention a surgical practice that is in the 90th %ile in productivity.

Looking forward to seeing how you all make this place into your vision of the worlds greatest Skins site, and I am honored to be one of the riders on your coaster!
 
Welcome Eric. As others have said, it really brings back memories to see your handle. Glad to see you're here and hope to hear from you from time to time. :cheers:
 
Observation: I think I've read more Blade posts in the past two days than in the prior two years. Edit (hit the key twice as instructed): wanted to see what the laugh smilie looked like :laugh:

Carey and babies must be busy.......thus he finally has time.

I too am tickled to see Eric here. CERTAINLY seems like old times.

I have yet to find the poppers however.

And although I may on occasion dance on the bar in this pub, I wll not be cleaning up after you guys!!

BTW, great work on the site guys. I see lots of familiar faces and I'm sure some will recognize me.

Quick bio on me: I'm originally from WV, but I bounced around a lot as a kid (and as an adult) and I've moved between there, DC, VA & NC more times than I care to explain.

I've been a die-hard Skins fan since I was little and watching the games with my family on tv. I've been working in electronic publishing for various branches of science over the last few years, however I was just laid off last week, so I see another inevitable move in my future. I watch MMA and workout in a local MMA school to stay in shape and keep myself occupied when it's not Redskins-Season. I live with my girlfriend and golden retriever and like long walks off of short piers....that's about it!
 
For what it's worth, I've just been sitting back the past couple of days ... smilin'.
