For those that are interested that's the interview with Rich Campbell yesterday during mid day talking about sloppy footwork, planting, etc.

He seems to suggest it's because he's not taking enough rest.

The next milestone for Griffin is 11 on 11s. Shanahan has said that won't happen while the team is in Richmond.
 
The local media in DC are among the biggest pot stirrers anywhere. Add to that their loathing of Dan Snyder and their credibility is nil with me (I'm referring into their reading into RG3 dressing for the game). There are probably 6 ways to read that - 5 of them positive. It's no surprise they go with the negative one and are trying to create a controversy where none exists.

There are plenty of those.

Kevin Shehan, Al Galdi, John Keim, Rich Tandler, Rich Campbell are not those guys. Sorry, they just aren't.

I'm not using material provided by Sally Jenkins, Mike Wise, Mike Jones, etc... I don't read those people's articles or listen to them on the radio and there's a reason for that.

You haven't posted anything but a reference to 'lots and lots of talk' . If you have written comments demonstrating this is anything but speculation and 'interpreting' what him dressing out might 'mean', post it. Speculation is speculation whether its Steve Czaban or Adam Shefter doing it.

It's not written. It's on sports talk radio. Specifically ESPN 980. I'll post links to the audio vault entries when they're available but it normally takes 48 hours.

In the meantime all I can do is tell you what they're saying. You can listen yourself at espn980.com is you're interested.

Of course it's speculation. But the person doing the speculation matters, especially if you're going to write it off with the idea that they're just trying to stir the pot when the people saying it don't have a history of doing that. If anything Galdi and Shehan have a very strong history of being pro-redskins and glass-half-full type of guys.

The question was along the lines of: 'what did you think of griffin being fully dressed and participating in pregame warmups'

The conversation spun into what I mentioned earlier, including most everyone saying that they don't ever recall any starter that was ruled out of a preseason game ever getting fully dressed and participating in pregame warmups.

Pretty much everyone said it wasn't a big deal but something worth noting and looking for. Pretty much everyone came to the conclusion that Griffin is going to be very, very unhappy if the coaching staff doesn't start him for week 1.

In the end we don't know ****. Shanahan could keep him out of 11 on 11s while in Richmond solely to keep the media from seeing him. Once they leave Richmond the media loses all access to practices.

It's speculation.

IMO Chris Russell seems to be the most "negative" of the bunch, might be because he believes is football acumen is so high and has innate skills well beyond those of his cohorts. Even his stuff is not as virulent as some of the real butt-holes.

Anytime some of these guys don't get a direct answer, stuff begins to be speculated.

Too many times I've heard that if coach A doesn't admit, convey, deny..... then our interpretation/conclusion/speculation is point B regardless of actual circumstances.

This is when the spin and juggling of the facts come into play to suit the story.

Right...and I agree. I wouldn't want him happy & complacent with not starting though, would you? :)

EDIT: and yes, I don't think any of those guys had the thoughts organically - they were lead in that direction by radio hosts. It would be different if they each, independently came out and commented on it.
 
Is anyone less deserving of having his TD calls made famous by RG3 than Larry Micheal? "Electrifying!" Can't believe I have to hear him for the next 30 years.

If by lead in that direction you mean they were asked about him fully dressing for pregame warmup, and then voluntarily went into the fact that Griffin held his own press conference after the browns game, brought up the comments about "if I do everything they ask, then they have to hold up their end of deal and star time", brought up Shanahan's comments, etc then sure, it was leading :)

I'm just the messenger here. I just can't believe how quickly everyone writes it off. Like it's impossible that a Heisman winning, NFL Rookie Of the Year, NFL Record setting quarterback would have an ego problem or a craving for attention. Or that it would be a horrible thing for him to have that being a QB (that was part of the discussion too, that it's not necessarily a bad thing)

I guess it should be expected. Say anything bad about Griffin and it's automatic pitch fork time.

First of all, 108 is incorrect, unless it includes playoff games. According to ESPN's splits, Luck attempted 91 passes over 21 yards.

Second of all, fine. Let's look at the whole picture. Luck threw 12 interceptions on passes of 20 yards or less (527 attempts), vs. 5 for Griffin (356 attempts). That's one interception for every 44 attempts for Luck, vs. one interception for every 72 attempts for Griffin.

Third, overall that is an interception rate of one interception per every 35 passes thrown for Luck, versus one interception per every 79 pass thrown for Griffin III.

I found this, in way of explanation:

"The quarterback also shot some of the footage himself on a “self-cam,” which is partially why he’s listed as an executive producer for the film."

No...strike that.....it's like two kicks in the nuts, then having your nose rubbed in dog-**** while your on the ground, writhing in agony from the aforementioned kicks.....
