MLB 2013 (Primarily non-Nats/O's

There are few fans that have been as abused and deprived as pirates fans.

Keep enjoying it Jugband. You deserve it.

LOL.

Well, despite number 40 landing on Eutaw Street, The Orioles and Crush Davis had a very sh!tty week, and are looking at an uphill battle for a Wild Card spot. They could have done themselves a huge favor by sweeping the Astros & Mariners, but they did not.

I look at it this way: the sports gods would never let me be happy for two seasons in a row, so the Orioles are going to suck from here on out. This just means the Redskins are going all the way. :D

EDIT: but I see your panties are still very twistable when it comes to the Pirates. Relax, bro, they aren't collapsing this year, lol. You can unclench a little. :D

Who said anything about the Pirates? We're showing NO signs of collapse, and I sure as hell ain't worried.

I'm just tired of jackasses looking for a fight. Maybe I should give it to 'em and be done with it.

Easy killer, who's looking for a fight? I'm just giving you sh!t. Perhaps its you who's looking for an excuse.

EDIT: As far as "who said anything about the Pirates?" You. You said anything and everything about the Pirates. Constantly. :)

The Nats are 56-62 since letting Teddy win his first president's race.

nevermind...

25 games in hand vs. .500.

2.5 up in the division, with LAD handling STL 9-4 in the 8th.

Need only go 12-37 to break the losing-season streak, and 21-28 to win the 90 games I predicted. 31-18 (.632) to win 100.

MLB best .611 W%, in a division that includes THREE likely playoff teams.

This has become my favorite Pirates team of ALL TIME.

RAISE IT.

Crush Davis hits number 41 to San Francisco, as the O's take 2 from the Padres.

Crush now needs 21 home runs in 48 games to hit 62, and roughly one homer every 5 games to hit 50. I'd love to see him hit 62, but his slow-start after the all-star break pretty much made that a real long shot. Let's go Chris!

The Cards have run into a buzzsaw. Lost 4 of 5 to the Bucs, and 3 of 4 to the red-hot Dodgers.

We still have to take care of business playing them head-to-head again, but that four-game cushion this late in the year is awfully pretty.

Opportunity missed. Cards still struggling a bit, and we get swept by the Rockies. Oh well, four-game set in St. Louis starts tomorrow night; Bucs clinging to a 3-game lead in the NLC. Put up or shut up time.

Ken Griffey Jr. was one of my favorite players growing up, and I have to say this was absolutely awesome!
