WTF? How in the hell can we afford him? He would be a good fit in the offense I guess, but we have the Butler, and it seems to me like we have a TON of other areas of needs where we could better spend that money.

Agreed, but a change of pace back would be nice. I wonder if that speaks to the extent of Helu's achilles injuries...

Bush has been a scrub for a long time. He will come at a cheap price..but I am not sure I want him...unless he converts to a TE.
Hasn't Bush rushed for over 2000 yards the past 2 years? That's not a scrub.

Had to share this tweet....

Myra ‏@Ladymyra410
Redskins ordering off the free agent dollar menu right now

Also has 12TDs the past two years. Bush has been pretty decent in a not-so-good offense. In this offense, he could put up nice numbers as a 3rd-down, change of pace back.

I still think we'd have to pay him too much. I know Morris doesn't seem like the kind of cat who would get bothered by it, but then you'd have his backup making substantially more than him. Besides, I just see too many other uses for that money, when we could just draft a guy in the 6th with Shanny's magic hand and be just as well off...

Lorenzo is being courted by Pittsburgh (as expected, with Danny Smith there), Arizona & San Francisco. Not good news for the cap-strapped Skins. Sigh.

John Keim‏@john_keim

Lorenzo was confident all along that multiple teams would be interested in him. It's why he rejected Redskins 1st offer. 1st chance @ huge $

**** you, Mara. ****ing bastard.

While I will be sad to see Zo go, I don't think we'd have given him a huge contract even if we had the space. Its just not our M-O to overpay anymore. This is just how the NFL works...guys earn a big payday and then get it. I'm happy for the dude, and hope he does well wherever he goes. Except against the Redskins, obviously. :)

Lorenzo is leaning towards signing with the Cardinals.

To be honest, if he signs with them, he was all about the money in the first place. Not that most players aren't, but maybe he's not the team-first guy everyone thought if he's just chasing the dollars.

**** you, Mara. ****ing bastard.

Add Goodell toy our quote.

We probably can't afford to keep our guys, yet Eagles are now $44 million under the cap. Hope they sign all the Giants FA's.

Mara and Goodell's day is coming.....

I'll wait and see what kind of a deal he gets. If it is manageable and not outrageous, and we don't match it, I will assume Mara's douchebaggery prevented us from resigning him, and I will hate Mara even more.

Hopefully Zo will get some offers and give us the chance to match it, and hopefully he will be OK with some creative accounting and we can keep him at a reasonable price.

How is it possible that the Eagles are $44M under the cap?

Unreal.

Sounds like Alexander is signing with the cardinals.

I know he's a fan favorite and many will be mad he's gone but he just isn't worth the money he's demanding based on what other teams will pay for him.

We just don't need him that badly...

I love how we get screwed for violating the cap in an uncapped year, meanwhile, Goodell and his minions turn a blind eye to brothers making a wink-and-nod deal where a top 5 WR is traded for a 6th round pick. Totally outrageous but not a word will be said about it because it's the Holy Harbaughs who engineered it.

Yep. Couldn't agree more. One of the most lopsided, ridiculous trades ever, but we don't want to **** on the Harbaughs.
