Hi!! I never knew of this site and I'm sure that I've interacted with some of you on the other site. For the record, despite a somewhat checkered past there for me over the years, I dont hold ill will (much) for anyone there and am still a member.
I was starting to seek a place that the "new me" could interact with intelligent and respectful people. I think this might be it!

We have a great community here SS...you'll also find that we are mostly self-moderated here. We do have moderators, but our goal is for them to never have to 'step in'. And we like new threads here, so don't self-limit on that front. We are like all NFL fan-sites, things can always get a little 'heated', but we pride ourselves on helping each other color between the lines so that we're all still friends when the dust settles. I suspect you will like it here. Welcome

Hey everyone, talked with a few of you in the Norm thread but figure i'd offer a little more here. I'm currently residing in Peter's Creek Alaska which is about 20 miles north of Anchorage. Memebr of the USAF and Elmendorf AFB. Been in 17+ years and can finally see the end. Married 14 years with 3 kids (13, 10 and 9).
Just like the rest of you been waiting on this team to be good again for umpteen years and it's looking like we may have turned the corner FINALLY, atleast on offense. Always have and always will be in favor of a strong o-line so i usually complain when Shanallen takes the 6th round flyers on guys. Love what Griff is bringing but i want to see him better protected.
Love the layout of this board and just figuring out the what nots. Anything you guys wanna know ask away.

Welcome aboard. Did 22 and retired in 06. Alaska was one of my favorite assignments. Good luck getting a game on the West Coast though. When I was there in 88-89 it was San Fran, the Seahags and the Gayders EVERY weekend.

Thank you for serving sir, in addition to the warm welcome. We love it here so far, enough to buy a good size house. It's nothing but the seachickens here. My cable company (GCI) is also pretty terrible at showing all the games. Most of the time it's golf or UAA seawolves hockey, and they're friggin awful.

G'day, and welcome, from the Land Down Under.
Welcome aboard. Boone has a lot of good food each night. Neo provides the drinks (I have the non-alcoholic beverages for those who prefer it). Jugband provides the entertainment - a forty-five minute belly dance routine each night (or so I've heard. Elephant probably has some pics of it somewhere).
But game day chats are the best and we have our own way of tailgating at those functions and other similar types of activities. Seriously, it's the place to be.
