To me, his performance is diminished a lot for the short passes much like the single season rushing TD record was. I can't remember if it was when Shaun Alexander got 27 or when LT got 28, but one of the two was significantly padded, because something insane like 14 of the TDs were from inside the 1.

If that's all they used them for then it would diminish it but they both put up monster years
 
I watched most of the Sea/SF game Sunday night and all of the Wash/Philly game Sunday afternoon. I would have given it to Wilson. Granted, he did it at home while Griff was on the road but the Philly crowd is almost as hostile to their own team as they are the opposition and Wilson was playing against the 49er defense which is unquestionably one of the best in the league right now.
 
Skins HAVE to beat Dallas, and probably Seattle, for Griff to win ROY. It's really that simple because THAT'S how voters are. Which guy led his team the farthest? They won't look at the fact the Seattle has a better defense that gives Wilson more scoring opportunities or that Luck's yardage is usually the result of his own mistakes and having to come from behind. It's who got his team deeper into the playoffs. That's really what it boils down to. That's how they vote for Pro Bowlers and Hall of Famers and they'll use that same formula when they have three ROY candidates that have done what these guys have done.
 
There's a part of me that wants Luck to win. That would drive Griff insane and make him work that much harder in the off-season.

Really though, I want him to get what he deserves, as I usually do. Same with Mara, actually.

You're absolutely right. Someone was talking about it on the radio the other day (Kevin Blackistone maybe?) that every time things are going right for Griffin he always talks about his teammates and how they made it possible. Whenever things are going wrong for Griffin he talks about his blame and what he needs to do to improve his own play.

Apparently that type of mentality and leadership carries a lot of weight with the other guys in the locker room. I mean that sounds obvious, but to hear that it is actually having an impact with the other guys is... well it's a lot of things. :)
 
That, my friends, is the difference between a good manager and a bad manager. When things are successful it was a team effort and when things are not successful it is the manager's fault. It is a tried and true management technique that works in all walks of life, not just football.
 
Luck fumbled today, but the refs overturned it. Such a horrible call.

The 11-5 record is what stands out.
 
RG3 has a good chance to beat only 2 TDs and a 96 QBR rating today.
