Redskins Sign Ryan Grant

Response to the Royster injury, I don't think this says anything about Al's performance or job security.

Whats the deal with Royster and Helu????

Wow. Lanky, with all due respect, sincerely, and I love Morris, Ryan grant is now our new top RB.

I don't mean that he is better than Morris by any means, but you don't sign him to be inactive.

Helu? Seriously, what happened? He could have been a star.

Edit: Hey Mike! I understand the injury situation! How about we look at the defensive side of the ball?

Ryan Grant? Seriously? Dude is brittle, can't stay on the field, and his best days were 3+ years ago.

I might be reading you wrong but are you saying that Ryan Grant is going to start over Morris?

Here are my thoughts. Morris starts the game, and we see Grant start the third quarter.

Should it be that way? No.

But that seems to be the bs we are seeing here.

I am all for the RBC approach. But something tells me that Helu could be a star in New Orleans.

The offensive side of the ball really shouldn't be what we are trying to fix....unless it's on the line. How about a signing on the D?

I'd like your opinions on this. Here is a great, but recently injured RB in the NFL:

Game 1: 87 yards

Game 2: 3 yards

Game 3: 233 yards. And another 55 yards in receiving. 288 total yards in one game.

That's Jammal Charles this season. Would Shanny even stand behind a guy like that after two games?

Or would he race to sign Ryan Grant? Shanny, this isn't the Washington Shanahans. This is the Washington Redskins.

Grant might play this week but it won't be much and he won't start over Morris. This guy is for insurance purposes. If Shanahan wanted him that bad, he could have signed him anytime in the last couple of months.

Yeah, exactly. McD, you're acting like Grant was a hot commodity. He's not. He's strictly insurance.

Not so. If Morris goes down you are going to see Grant out there for both carries but also for his receiving skills. Royster is not a good pass receiver and only so-so as a pass protector.

Folks - there's a reason Morris is starting and all those that think Royster is a 1,300 yard back ready to crash the NFL, think again.

Turf Toe? Helu, really, really??!

Longtime since I heard of this, especially season ending Turf toe. His achilles condition MUST of had something to do with this no?

Another "tell" for our offense... Morris in the game = option... Grant in the game = no option.

You are correct, but only because Royster has a knee injury. He'll likely be inactive the next few weeks.
